I provided support for that with a quote that mentioned Kimmel's stance that folks should have access to healthcare.
Which Trump's position too. Is Trump advocating for Obamacare now?
quote:

You think it's a stretch to link that statement with the ACA. That's fine.
It's a general statement that's pretty widely held on a bipartisan basis.

I know Jimmy's politics. It's more likely than not that he supports the ACA.
And Jimmy is one who has been lauded for not being overtly political, like Colbert and Letterman.

You think only 20% of the country had health insurance or could afford to pay their own health bills prior to the ACA?

Link?

You seem to support paying for other people's kids. I've got one going to college soon. Want to kick in for books? How about paying for that child's health care. I'd like to take a stab at being irresponsible for a while. Deal?

My bigger point was that Dems don't want any type of compromise on much of anything.

The ACA was a compromise.

Besides, we compromised pretty well on the budget resolution that Congress just agreed to.

So in your demented liberal mind a bill that no R voted for was a compromise?

Thanks for Trump you bastard.

Link it.

Link to all the children dying in the streets because they were kicked off due to a pre-existing condition their parents didn't know about.

Well then in the case, probably only like the top 20% in this country should only be having children.

Why?

B/c in your vision, since parents should be able to 100% cover every single thing (even the most catastrophic of medical issues) before having a child, that would be hard for a couple making below a certain income to reach...unless you want them to save until they can cover (which can take a long time due to other costs of living), in which case, the risk of having a child goes up a lot due to age, making it potentially more expensive.

They didn't vote no on the bill because of its merits, but because of party orthodoxy. If you think the Democratic party in a perfect non-compromising position doesn't include a public option you're crazy.

Interesting. I wasn't aware.

Ah, here's your issue. You think salary is the only way to pay for healthcare without the ACA.

Work that out.

No, I'd have you believe that insurance companies COULD drop you if they wanted to claim you had a pre-existing condition that you did not disclose. And they did, often.

Not all policies. Stop stretching the truth.

Besides, lying on an insurance document is fraud. I know you are the party of lawlessness but damn.

Uh... if you don't (or didn't) disclose a pre existing condition, they SHOULD have dropped you. For lying to them.

Of course I'm sure he's more liberal, but he's pretty apolitical enough that his audience is not impacted by his views.

WHY STEPHEN COLBERT HAS STARTED LOSING TO JIMMY KIMMEL
quote:

The findings revealed that while Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel bring in a large percentage from both sides of the political spectrum, Stephen Colbert mostly appeals to Democrats.
quote:

In comparison, Jimmy Kimmel Live! is comprised of 34% Democrats and 33% Republicans (the rest identify are Independents).
He has the highest percentage of Republican viewers. Again he may be liberal, but he doesn't present the overt political bent that Colbert does.

Correct.

Either self pay or insure the risk.

You cutting me a check for books or not? It's not fair that I have to pay for my child's books alone damnit.

Having the highest R viewers between Kimmel and the other two is the Captain Obvious moment of the century.

Agreed?
