Everyone knows we are being scammed by the government and he's willing to take the punishment that comes from standing against them.

Bingo.

Trump is a man who has been involved in everything and tired of regulation and politicians doing nothing. If he never ran I bet we would have not known how god awful the govt really is. Politicians now have to work and try to counter what he does.

It’s also the biggest reason why I didn’t support Ron in the primary because he didn’t stand a chance. He may be a great leader but he’s not the guy to go against DC right now.

He does almost all of what he says he will do, or at least tries. He's a winner at almost everything, (when massive fraud isn't allowed), because he is usually on the right side of everything. He has common sense solutions and listens to and understands the people that vote for him and acts.

Its like you fools don't know that Trump is a text book Narcissist. He is incapable of empathy. Exerythingy he does is dictated by how it affects him. He doesn't care about anyone but himself.

You imbeciles making him out to be this shiny white knight are ignorant fools.

Lol is that why he handed over power then ran again winning a primary a
He handed over power?? Only cause he couldn't intimidate Pence to send the vote to the House. You're an idiot if you don't realize that..

He ran again only so he could pardon himself of his crimes related to the last election.

He is his own man - it is obvious that he is not controlled by 'outside interests'

He speaks moral truths - common sense - obviously heart felt and not pretense.

He represents the only break from the 'system' that has crept into the overwhelming power structure of the federal government - most 'politicians' are more interested in their own power/position/finances than they are the public for which they are responsible. Trump is obviously not beholden to any outside influence.

He has a lot of personal qualities that I do not like - in fact I detest many of them.

BUT - when the firefighter comes to rescue my family from a burning building, I am not going to turn him away because of his halitosis.

This is actually hilarious that you think Donald Trump does. Hate to break it to you, he doesn’t care about you at all.

He marketed well. He wanted to run for President. He identified the issues that were not being addressed like immigration and began hammering on that topic. Then the press attacked him. Trump likes when he's attacked, so he counter punches. This all played to an emerging new Republican base that was more working class vs the old business and Orange County, CA types. The more he was attacked, the more popular he became. Plus he had the money to get an insurgent campaign up and running and used the media against itself. He had the phone #s. He could call CNN, Fox and MSNBC directly. That was free exposure. It got his name and face out there. Also he promoted his rallies as must attend events which garnered him even more exposure that the press covered....more free exposure.

Trump also identified that the people voting for him were tired of "policy" initiatives and nuance. They wanted relatively simple answers to some of the issues like immigration and lock up Hillary. Trump was/is a transactional actor he was where he was on certain issues and a lot of them were conservative with a healthy dose of populist liberalism of the old school style. He figured out the new base. Democrats were focusing on urban and suburban types college educated minorities and identity politics. That left the working class behind. So he tailored his message.

He out politicianed the politicians.

The utter weakness of Republican candidates as of late has allowed blatant Leftist to co-opt our Constitutional Republic government. People like Romney, McCain and Jeb! Were a joke as any form of resistance. The Nation is being “fundamentally transformed “ into a Globalist DEI and soon to be pseudo-Third World disaster as Republicans like McConnell make bank. Albeit Trump has inspired others like DeSantis, Youngkin, Abbot, Vance et al to step up, as the window for peaceful systemic change closes. Likely too late for that but it’s worth a try given the painful alternative.
