Frustration and build-up of constantly dealing with the worst in society. On the street policing is a terrible job. Soul crushing. You're wading through shite everyday in many places.

Up to a certain point yes, but how do you explain sideswapping haymakers thrown from South America on a handcuffed individual?

He didn’t appear to be cuffed.

Appears the blows that happened after cuffing were the kicks to the head.

After watching all the videos, I see nothing that would lead me to believe any of the cops knew this guy.

I don’t know how the rumor of Nichols sexing one of the cops’ wives began but it seems completely unsubstantiated.

I can say the blows were wrong but just watching the first part “I didn’t do anything” then takes off running. Innocent rational people don’t run. Just like it’s dumb as hell to run from your registered car, unless it’s not yours.

Pure power tripping and blood lust?

Some verbal or other provocation?
Simply the resistance the guy gave?
Frustration with dealing with disrespectful people that, for another reason, maybe one above, they took out on this guy?

I think it is all of this. Some maybe more than others but I think all the reasons you listed played a part to some level.

I have noticed that often black ppl who are in positions of authority will down upon and mistreated blacks who have a lower status. Especially if there is a confrontation and that lower status person challenges their authority.

In hindsight, attempting to elude capture by these animalistic brutes seemed like a perfectly rational response.

Well, you fell for their script. They never gave the guy a chance to comply. From the moment he was yanked violently from the car, he was pulled and tugged in several directions at once. There was never a moment where he was being given commands that there wasn’t at least one or two of the cops restraining his ability to comply with the demands.

It is like the big brother holding the little brother down and controlling his wrist all the while saying “stop hitting yourself, stop hitting yourself!”

I would hope that if this was planned they could have come up with a lower key and effective way to do it. That just doesn't pass the common sense test.

Some seem to think he was banging one of the cops wife or girl friend.

I got a text last night from a friend who would know who confirmed this. They were waiting on him.

1. They were barely non-criminal thugs themselves.

2.They think that beating the shite out of someone because they've become emotional about it is OK because of the badge.

3. Everything in their experience up to that point told them they were right about 2.
