I just watched a YT video on even worse people in the same racket. Fake gurus. Dan Lok makes Grant Cardone look like a 0.4xer
Dan Lok runs an actual cult.
Cardone just runs an org similar to MLM/Scientology/Magik

Cardone stated, "If I made $400 grand a year I would be embarrassed with myself as a husband, a father, basically as a human being. $400 grand. How do you make sense of $35,000 a month? You guys haven't done the math. You have not done the math because you cannot live on $400 grand a year."
Being from Lake Charles and saying this.

He's a dirtbag con artist. He did achieve some amount of success of his own and is probably worth several dozen to a few hundred million, but claims to be a billiionaire and is not. He has an intense personality which draws people in and probably is what led to his success.
He runs a grift getting suckers to pay thousands to attend his conference so they can replicate his success, but that's just not possible so it's just a huge waste of money. You should try to get your spouse to stop going to these.

I'm sure Tony Robbins has been called a "grifter" or a "con man" more often than just about anybody alive today, but his message still lands and inspires. I don't see how Cardone is much different (although his seminars seem less polished).
I would never pay to attend one of TR's seminars, but I have watched bootlegged versions and I really got inspired and enjoyed it.

from what i understand, TR is a motivational speaker/self help book author. GC is shilling out real estate "advice", get rich quick schemes and access to invest in his real estate funds. The two are totally different imo

There is definitely overlap, but there is also a lot of non-overlap.
As you said, selling these courses as educational for business is borderline fraudulent. The setup (Bait and switch to make you pay for more expensive courses) is really only more tolerated with more personal scenarios (motivational speaking, religion, etc.)
However, I don't think TR had secret "inner circle" teachings that were more expensive. THAT is the big difference to me.

Scientology. IMHO, this would be enough to proceed with caution.
I'm not a bigot. I feel for the Sea Org folks who are largely trapped. But these wealthy, high profile public Scientologists can frick right off.
(Full disclosure, I'm a fan of Tom Cruise and Forrest Whitaker as actors.)

Did she go with Diamond, or spring for the Diamond Front Row package?

There's so much here, but maybe the best part is that you can pay $16k for the "best seats available" or if you drop $35k you get the "best seats available" along with the actual best seats available.
Anyone who pays money for shite like this is a moron.

That reminds me of a legal marketing seminar I did either late last year or Jan this year. Was clown shoes. Cost me like $5 for the VIP package, though, but the REAL stuff was like $10k+/mo, and they demanded you spend $10k/mo on advertising. A solid portion of their pitch was telling you why taking out personal loans and using credit cards to hit that $10k/mo limit in advertising was smart.
I lasted like half a day of the 3 day seminar, and that included client meetings that cut out about 1/3 of that half day

Cardone may or may not be a talented real estate investor, but it is clear to me that he’s making way more money selling the idea that he is.
It is a fairly common grift today. Look at how many YouTube or TikTok investing gurus have a course to sell. If they were so great at investing, why do they need to sell you a course?
Difference w Cardone is that he has mastered the grift.

Been this way for a while
The best is when they switch industries like Meet Kevin

Funny you mention this - I was doing some research online for some remote sales training for my outside sales team.
I filled out some info on a few sites and somehow this Grant Cardone company got my info and called me. I had never heard of Cardone or his companies so I took the video call to hear one of their sales guys pitch.
Holy hell was it awful. Dudes in suits running around like Boiler Room or Wolf of Wall Street - just over the top. He kept going on how he was a millionaire and Grant was a billionaire that closes 7 figure deals daily.
About 10 minutes in, I cut him off and said this isn't for me or my team. He asked why and I told him "I don't like you and I think you are 98% full of shite"
His "boss" called me on my cell 3 times on Good Friday - "Hey, I heard we are close to a deal" Umm, no. I blocked the number.
Horrible.

Grant is your typical salesman, when I worked sales years ago we had to watch his videos and he came to speak.
