It's a good looking flag, too bad it has been associated with racism.

Looks like the red curtains from the Twin Peaks series with a confederate flag design.

Those are my thoughts.

When I see that flag all I can think of is a car horn blowing “Dixie”.

Regardless of your beliefs on this flag, the fact remains that this flag is and always will be associated with the civil war, which in turn means it’s associated with slavery.

That’s a very, very loose and generalized interpretation but it’s true.

Misery, death, hunger, famine, and four to five years of bad intent when it was relevant.

A flag from a time long ago that shouldn't have any bearing on today's actions.

I wasn’t raised in a redneck family so I never had any allegiance or infatuation with it growing up, but I get it’s a southern heritage thing. I’m a “to each his own” kind of guy though so it never once bothered me and I don’t have a strong opinion either way.

Rednecks leave well enough alone and should be left alone but it doesn’t help you that there are actual racists that proudly fly that flag.

ETA: I am not insinuating at all btw there’s anything wrong with Skynyrd, just showing it was a southern cultural icon

sadly today though its been manipulated by MSM to be symbol of racism

A symbol of the only region of this country that has a distinct culture from the soulless black hole that is mass American culture.
