Funny how you ignored my post where it proved that scientists falsified data for a political agenda. Guess what... that agenda wasn't "your" agenda. To act like these people in here care what Powerman is asking for makes you intellectually embarrassing. They care about the actual political agenda of the political powers in this country. And the liberal left has certainly demanded all sorts of taxes. Carbon taxes, windfall profit taxes, you name it.
You've embarrassed yourself. Quit while you're behind.

I think “global warming “ evolved into “climate change” for reasons we likely will not agree on...

History.
Not the 200 year window we like to look into.
But the 4 billion year old one that says this is complete fricking nonsense to think man is causing this.

Oh. I thought it would have had more to do with Science.
Thread is shite.

1) the data only goes back so far - so while it may have gotten warmer recently, nobody can say for certain that it hasn’t happened at other times in history.
2) even assuming that the first is true (the current “warming” trend or whatever the high priests of global warming or climate change or whatever is calling it these days), there’s no evidence that humans have anything to do with - and if so how much do we have to do with it. You can’t pass laws that change behavior if you don’t know what behavior is causing the problem that you can’t even identify.
3) the main reason I am skeptical is because I SHOULD BE. The “scientists” who research this ostracize anyone. Anyone. Who challenges or questions the orthodoxy. Global warming is a theory. Not one of Newton’s Laws. It is not immoral to wonder whether a theory should cause us to raise taxes and then our lives upside down. Shutting down the questions and accepting this theory without any debate or curiosity, isn’t science. It’s what constitutes Religion for the left wing.

I'm of the belief that people will say and do anything to take an opposing viewpoint to almost any topic.

Thread is shite.

Except that there is a metric frick ton of evidence and the scientists who study the matter completely disagree with you
You can't just say there is no evidence when there is a lot of evidence
But you're an attorney so I'm sure you know better than the scientists.

You should be skeptical of everything. Including the idea that this is all a hoax. Particularly when the idea that it's a hoax was created by big oil.
If you were in the 1950s would you be skeptical of people that said smoking was bad for you because big tobacco had scientists telling you it wasn't so bad?

1) the Earth's climatic and paleoclimatic history
2) the huge fusion reactor 93 million miles away
3) the fact that the computer models are almost never even close to being right, even when fed verified historical data
4) the rather serious divergence in surface temperature data and satellite data
5) the fact that many surface weather stations have not been relocated, despite substantial development around then that would skew readings
6) the huge gaps in the surface station coverage (see Africa, Asia, Russia) and the method of estimating/projecting temperatures in those areas
7) the curious nature of the "adjustments" made to surface temperature data
8) the fact that the concept of a "global" temperature ignores the inherently dynamic of the Earth's climate and is unscientific
9) that even if man is contributing at all (still not proven) it is a small part (at best, no more than 25%) and the "cure" will kill millions and destroy the standard of living of billions
10) that the potential positives of climate change (e.g., more arable lands) are never discussed or acknowledged
11) the people that are "behind" it (i.e., the strongest policy proponents) are the most anti-liberty, anti-property, anti-capitalist people out there
12) common fricking sense

I'm not a climate scientist. And neither is anyone here.
The point is why do people believe in bullshite for political reasons.
It's ok to be a conservative and not believe that this shite is all some elaborate liberal hoax.
Just like it's ok to be a liberal and not believe in libtard shite like vaccines cause autism.
