What % of the black vote will Trump get in 2020?

I've seen some people speculate that he will do surprisingly well and make big gains there

The lives of all Americans has been made exponentially better under trump. But they’ll still vote Democrat. Why? Because they will be crushed if they get off the Democrat plantation.

Well good point. Opponent does matter. If it’s Trump versus a gay or a Jew the he’ll get a much bigger portion of the black vote than normal.

A higher percentage than any GOP candidate in recent history. I wouldn't be shocked if he bumped up against 10%, but 6% is more likely.

That's admittedly extremely optimistic, but this is the first GOP president since I've been following politics (~ Reagan) that black males will openly support. If that many are openly supporting him a much bigger number are quiet but will pull the lever.
I doubt he makes much headway with black females, unfortunately. Females (all ethnic groups) tend to look at the federal government as daddy protector and they want a warm fuzzy sort in the WH.

10% of the total black population of 13% is only 1.3% of the population....before taking into account voting age and actual turnout.

I think he gets about the exact same percentage of black women as in 2016, but a decent chunk of black men that stayed at home, or reluctantly voted Hilldog.

What’s your point? Trump kicked arse in the electoral in ‘16 with only 8% of the black vote. The thing about the black vote is that it is in a lot of states where Rs typically don’t do as well. Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Nebraska, Kansas, and the Dakotas don’t have many black voters. Black vote for Trump moving from 8 to 10% would flip Minnesota and Virginia and lock down GA/FL
