Is it really unbelievable when that was already the case in every facet of government assistance......ever?

Spending it on TV’s is certainly better than buying drugs with it, or stashing it under a mattress, no?

That's the whole purpose of it. A good part of our economy is based on consumerism. The government wants this money to stir up the economy. It's the same with the earned income credit for low income individuals. The government doesn't want them to put that in the bank and save it for a rainy day. The money is the government's way of pushing the economy forward.

Probably because he's in the tax bracket that, when this is all said and done, will have to pay more taxes to cover this spending.

I guess the push back could be that a large portion of this money will be going to Wal Mart and Amazon, along with other big box stores. None of the local economies will see much benefit because the businesses and restaurants are closed.

This ship sailed long ago, my man. 401ks and other such things will be taxed the minute a Democrat wins the White House.

That's a good point. Through no fault of their own, the weaker local economies won't see any of the money. It's just making the stronger more strong and pushing aside the weaker local businesses. That sucks.

Yep. The business consolidations that will occur when this is all said and done will make the 2008-2009 fiasco seem like good times.

Bezos may own everything.
