No clue how Jim’s stays open selling everything at MSRP

No kidding. My experience is MSRP can be the jumping off point.

I don't have an axe to grind other than some crappy gunsmithing work they dd for me once.

People who buy there must be more carefree with their money than I am.

I can only imagine the stockpiles of guns and ammo in the US. We're not seeing anything like 2013 right now, but it's still running wide open. I remember you couldn't buy primers and powder for maybe a year or two after sandy hook. I'm quite sure maybe 10% of those purchase have been used. A gun onwer owning exactly 1 gun is now almost non-existent, too.

I bought a Ruger charger from them last weekend. They had it for $299+ tax. It can’t be found online and GB prices were all $300 +. I considered it a good purchase. I actually called to see if they had it before I went there and they did. Sara the front counter girl has it waiting for me when I arrived.

Jim’s is normally high but they have stock when others don’t. I buy from them from time to time and most of the time it’s hard to find items. I have never had a bad customer service experience there.

Yeah, anybody that is surprised by this thinks that because black people vote Democrat, they must be anti-gun. And apparently there are some people here who don't know any black people very well.

I don't know a single black person (and I know several) who is anti-gun.

Before you get too incredulous about that, remember that most of us want smaller government and immigration enforcement yet we keep voting Republican.

Every time I go to the range, I feel like I’m in Mogadishu.

You think they would buy guns then vote for leftist politicians who want to take them away.

Yes. in the gun shops I’ve visited in the past and especially gun shows, it usually is mostly white people there.

Yea, and if they vote for Biden, Beto will use their tax dollars to buy the guns back at $0.10 on the dollar and then charge them $0.02 on the dollar for tax on that income.

Good. Traditionally, when forearm sales have gone up, conservative candidates win. I, for one, want every man, woman, and child to know guns exceptionally well.

You just gotta know what you're looking at, and find the right deal.

I've been able to score some decent deals from their used gun section. Ruger Mk II, $199. 2 LNIB (I think actually NIB, old stock) Para Expert 1911s in .45 acp, $399 apiece. A couple others, things at/below market (gunbroker) prices.

Plenty of AR's available. Lot's of "people of color" arming up while I was there.

Good. The more guns in the hands of good people, the better.

Good to know they can be competitive on some specialty items. Thanks for the info.

I’ve got everything I “need” now. Will wait for panic buying to settle down before working on the “want” list.

Guns are tough and ammo is practically nonexistent at this time. Makes me wonder if or when there will be a run on magazines given people will soon realize having 2 just isn't enough.

Lost in a recent boating mishap:
- One AR-15 with 7 magazines
- 9mm S&W handgun with 4 magazines
- smaller 9mm Taurus handgun with 2 magazines

I'm in Houston working and stopped by a few gun stores and cabelas today. Very limited selection. It's probably for the best... I don't NEED any more guns.
