My grandfather who fought in the Pacific was a very kind and quiet man. But holy hell did he hate the Japanese.

Interestingly some of the fire bombing raids were of equivalent levels of death and destruction.

There was an estimated 200,000 civilians killed in those two bomb drops.

We still remain the only country to utilize a nuclear device against another.
