Remember when you pretended to be an attorney, Hank?

Well I know several good black men who lost their jobs on farms they worked on their entire life for an illegal or legal foreign worker. They would disagree with her. They loved farming

She's saying that she "we are done working".

1) no one picks cotton these days.
2) Immigrants do not work cotton fields
3) More blacks harvested tobacco than cotton although sugar cane was the largest user of slave labor.

So blacks want illegals to pick our cotton. How slave ownerish of them.

When I was just a baby too little for a cotton sack
I played in the dirt while the others worked 'til they couldn't straighten up their backs
I made myself a promise when I was big enough to run
That I'd never stay a single day in that Oklahoma sun
And I never picked cotton
But my mother did and my brother did
And my sister did and my daddy died young
Working in the coal mines

Effectively meaning that all that whining and crying about slavery? They just wanted someone else to be slaves now, and they’ve learned nothing.

Mechanical cotton picking machines were invented over 100 years ago. And they made the sub saharan cotton picker obsolete within a few years
It wasn’t that far back. Cotton pickers came along in the 1930s but weren’t widespread until the late 50s early 60s. It was 100% mechanized by the 70s

Putting in context, and acknowledging she is speaking about illegal immigration, that sounds like she saying "As former slaves, we are ready to enslave others".
Replace cotton with strawberries, replace slaves with illegals

All this is very simple to explain. Dims and GOPe want racial problems to grow NOT shrink.
It's good for their power.

Off topic, but funny story especially if you've worked in a family business as a teen.
When my father was a smart Alex teenager, he got into an argument with his father over being low paid as plumber's helper. He huffed away saying he was going to work with his cousin Jesse picking cotton and make more money.
Told me a big flatbed would pick the workers half running to jump in the bed. Had to be in the field when sunlight hit the horizon, worked until to dark to see. Leaf wraps on the cotton balls had dried and were sharp as razor blades. Back aching and cut up bloody fingers and arms. He lasted two days and begged his father (my grandpa) to let him go back to work. I think grandpa gave him a little raise.
