I still watch football on occasion, but it’s never a priority anymore. If it’s on and I’m not doing anything I’ll watch. I don’t care that much who wins and loses anymore. I suspect I’m not alone.

No idea what that means but it isn’t the Black Death. Most deaths from AIDS, if I remember, are in Africa. It isn’t nearly the illness it once was either.

I'm not defending the commercial, but the time in Ireland was about 6:30 pm.

commercial is for HIV medication

I'll take a mounjaro or ozempic commercial every half hour if they'll ban these stupid HIV commercials. They are advertising a medication that will allow you to be HIV positive and still have unprotected gay butt sex. If you are aberrant enough to have gay butt sex in the first place, you should have to live with the consequences of it.

The US and New Zealand are the only 2 countries to allow pharma ads direct to consumer.

Pumping billions in ad revenue innoculates Big Pharma from criticism by the media.

It’s gotten to the point where I only watch my favorite team with the sound off and radio broadcast on. During the week I’ll watch film breakdown and shortened replays of teams I’m interested in because I can’t sit through TV broadcasts anymore.

I prefer the radio. Especially the NFL - none of the national analysts are as good as Deuce.

They figure they can slip adverts such as this here and there. But, why not at a prime time SEC game - at night - say LSU/Bama?

Well ESPN -

This is what the argument was about over gay marriage. It wasn’t just if gays can marry; it was also can it be normalized. We lost that battle, my friend. The only way we can win it is with massive boycotts. Are you ready to live without college football?

I'd like to have a rule where any drug advertised on television is placed on the least favorable tier for Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, exchange plans, and federal employee plans. Any drug marketed only to doctors is placed in the most favorable tier.

Gets rid of (or disincentivizes) pharma ads. As a bonus it would bankrupt XiNN and MSDNC.

I don't care WTF adults do in the privacy of their own bedroom but I don't want degenerate filth put on a pedestal and shoved into the general public's faces against their will.

The problem with "progress" is it has no natural stopping point.

They will continue to walk up to and over any line calling you a hater, a phobic, a bigot, if you try to stop them.

As soon as you accept that it's a valid lifestyle, then it's valid to promote in public.

They don’t care about knowing your audience. 99% of football watchers are actively rooting for the AIDS virus to win with two dudes in bed. Maybe they should have them go to the new Cracker Barrel after they bang! Two for one wokeness.

I used to watch or listen to the LSU game no matter fricking what even during the fricking worst Hallman years.

Now? I can barely give a frick. That started a few years ago but hell, it's only getting worse. Hell, who the frick even plays for our team now anyway? The concept of "recruiting" is now a complete joke and there's pretty much no such thing as watching a group of players mature thru your program.

The NFL? Could not give a rat's arse. It's sad because objectively, I STILL love football. I love to watch the underlying details on the field. To analyze the LOS and how they're attacking each other. fricking LOVE it. Yet, haven't watched a Super Bowl live in like 4 years.

Basically, I'll watch highlights so I can see the cool plays. Otherwise. Meh.

I do find it odd that the previous complaint was calling it a gay disease and now all the commercials for it have nothing but gays

Your post reminded of this that I saw earlier today. I think it's spot on. They knew who would be watching football. They shove this in your face and dare you to do something about it.

It's always been a gay disease. Sure, it's not a 100% gay disease, but it's a fricking gay disease and THEY ALL know it.
