He followed up on every campaign promise except for the ones that Congress didn’t allow.

I imagine Bill brought it up as a possibility and Trump agreed he would be a "good" VP. Not that Trump expects Ron to run with him.

Frankly I think it would be better for Ron not to be VP under Trump.

But don't misunderstand, I'm 100% Trump 2024.

Off the top of my head he didn’t end the war in Afghanistan

Probably because he won, but they rigged it and he couldn’t finish after Biden was installed.

Donald Trump suggested that current Florida Governor Ron DeSantis would be “good” as a Vice President

This presupposes that Trump is willing to move out of Florida in order to have him as his running mate given that it’s illegal for both candidates on the same ticket to be from the same state.

And we all know DeSantis is not going to move as he will still be Governor in 2024.

Since I doubt that Trump wants to go through that much trouble for a mere political campaign after he’s firmly domiciled himself in Florida, I see this as nothing more than Trump punching down on DeSantis and putting him in his place as DeSantis just keeps racking up the victories.

And Ron should politely decline any such offer anyway.

Trump can live anywhere he wants. If Desantis were willing to VP and it looked like he'd seal the election, I"m sure Trump would have no problem with picking another state as his primary domicile.

His freaking SecDef quit because he wouldn’t let him have his war in Syria and one of the later ones was asked to leave because he was slow-walking our withdrawal from Afghanistan despite Trump’s directions.

There are plenty of legit reasons to criticize Trump about but calling him a neo-con is idiotic.

Been trying to tell people it's going to be TRUMP/DeSantis in 2024 then DeSantis from 2028-2032.

I just don't see DeSantis playing 2nd fiddle to DJT. And, as much as I like DJT, I really would prefer DeSantis. We need the younger people involved, leading, succeeding. I think whether or not DeSantis runs will depend on internal party politics and, most heavily, on his wife's health and how it will affect their entire family. His kids are very young and he may not want them growing up in the WH.

His track record is certainly stellar in FL and he has the backbone to stand up to anyone. Time will tell!

Still waiting for you and all the other Dan Satterberg Republicans to take your victory lap over your dear leader McConnell's Infrastructure Bill "win" and debt ceiling capitulation "win".

Don't care about VP. Who would he choose to be AG if given a second chance.
That would show me if he learned from his first term.

That would require one of them to change his residence. The Constitution prohibits the nominees for President and Vice President from being residents of the same state.

Almost.

Electors can't vote for two people from their own state. So the ticket would need more than 270, or the VP would be chosen by the Senate.
