Here is how you handle this.

1) “Am I being charged with a crime?”

2) “Am I being detained?”

3) “Do you have a warrant of any kind?”

If answer to all of these is No.

“Get off my property.” and close the door.

Agreed, but if she had done this, we wouldn't have proof of these Gestapo tactics and the "civilian" who was obviously pulling the strings.

No, they were sent because she and some guy named Anthony were posting on social media about how they were going to trespass on a County Commissioner's property and dump garbage there.

I mean, the officer states it right there at the beginning of the video. Youtube link

What is it with you and posting these bull shite "stories" from this hack site?

This board isn't going to understand that. While it was obvious someone was just talking shite this officer essentially just let them know they are aware. This happens all the time with social media posts and probably does pre-empt something that may go further. I'll cede that this probably does get into a grey area at times.

But from what i read....she only suggested that the other facebook user drop masks instead of garbage. Not that she would participate. No reason other than a salty commissioner that probably has control of the police budget getting his panties in a wad.

I was hoping for a more substantive discussion. I guess I shouldn't expect so much when attempting to take heroin from an addict.

Just make sure to remember this was all about an anti-mask joke.

I'm glad this woman had the good sense to get the tag numbers. For some reason, I'm thinking the pucker factor at the Palm Beach SD is at lever 12 right now.

In most jurisdictions, you and I are BOTH guilty of the conspiracy at that point. You don't have to complete an act sufficient for a conviction of a misdemeanor or a felony (at least in some jurisdictions) on its own as long as our conspiracy was to commit a crime and either of us acted in furtherance of that criminal conspiracy.

That’s not exactly true. To be guilty of the conspiracy, you have to have acted in some way in support of the conspiracy. Foreknowledge is insufficient, but the act can be very minor.

When he said, "Going on someone else's property is a crime," she should have said, "Like you're doing now?"

And who was the civilian lady that was with the cops? She was clearly on her property...

I'm guessing it was the commissioner who filed the complaint

She needs to go to his house tomorrow night to tell him that pedophilia is a crime and he shouldn’t do it. Because good neighbors should warn each other not to commit crimes.

I bet his jackbooted vajayjay would get all bent out of shape.

And she should call a complaint for a trespassing and a complaint for his dereliction of duty for not handling her trespassing concerns.

would love to know who that woman was she was asking the name of. The cop clearly knew who it was and was protecting her. Man I hope she called the police on that woman trespassing on her property Holy shite the hypocrisy and irony of him showing up and telling her not to trespass all while he is letting someone openly trespass on her property. What a hypocritical pos. The big dude in the back wanted no part of that shite at all.

Was about to post the same.

They come to tell her not to trespass while protecting someone trespassing on her property.

This is probably the closest thing to the truth of it all. You could tell the cop really didn't want to be there, he just wanted to say his bit and be done with it but had to because his superiors made him. Somewhere above him someone needed to tell the Commissioner there's nothing they could do until an actual crime was committed or unless the comment was made on the Commissioner's personal social media (ie: harrassment, but even that could be a reach).

Are you fricking kidding me? Does that seem like an effective use of government resources?

That's not my point. My point is the OP's link makes it out to be that the entirety of the context for the office showing up was because she made an anti-mask joke on Facebook.

It wasn't and it's not the first time the OP has posted such a bullshite, misleading article from that same site (as a matter of fact it's the only site they post articles from).

Then he should find other work, because law enforcement is clearly not suited for him. Just like the military, orders must be lawful in order to be followed.

"Hey Detective, I want you to take this person's name, find their address, take backup to their house, and warn them that their social media posts are being monitored and point out that trespassing is a crime."

A GOOD cop would've told that person to frick off.

Those are examples of cops that will come to confiscate your guns and enforce other unconstitutional mandates under the guise of ‘we’re just following orders’ to keep their precious pension.
They'll find out how hard it is to spend a pension from 6 feet under too. At the very least, how hard it is spend when you are banned for being a cop/retired cop from stores, restaurants, and other private enterprises.

Defund the Police?? Naw, just deny them services and accommodations. No shirt, no shoes, AND no cops, no service!!

Act like a jack booted thug and get treated like the undesirable jack booted thug.

what in the actual frick?

Yeah - this needs to not be let go. Those cops should be fired.

Tell him to go next door and tell those people not to break any laws too.

I'm pissed.

No, I actually was and still am. Interesting how your first inclination wasn't to engage me at that level but instead to delve into accusing me of lying about... uhm... oh yeah, you didn't actually make a specific accusation. How very Schiff-faced of you.

This is where we stand now: you can either come back and we can discuss the substance of the OP's post, why you think it's good and why I dislike it; or we can continue shite-slinging. The ball is in your court.
