Sasse has always had a Mittens side to him. If this is a Wapo bombshell it sure is weak sauce.

Should Sasse have said this? No.

Does that make any of this incorrect? Also, no.

I'm voting Trump here in a couple weeks, but I can understand why people don't like the guy. I would bet you most of what Sasse says here is true.

Sasse is not Mitt Romney

He's not going out of his way to shite on POTUS or to protect his legacy.

Sasse may not be politically useful, but the reality is he's of the same mindset as a ton of people who are voting for Trump and funding Trump's campaign.

Voting Trump again, but what here is not true?

The bold part:

quote:

“The way he kisses dictators' butts. I mean, the way he ignores the Uighurs, our literal concentration camps in Xinjiang. Right now, he hasn't lifted a finger on behalf of the Hong-Kongers," he said. "The United States now regularly sells out our allies under his leadership, the way he treats women, spends like a drunken sailor. He mocks evangelicals behind closed doors. His family has treated the presidency like a business opportunity. He's flirted with white supremacists."

I agree with Sasse here. The US is just not exerting our military will worldwide, and we have developed new weapon systems that have not been tested in the field in live-fire-live target situations. We need to get back to an AWATALAD approach to using our military.

So, M Sasse...which is worse...Trump's character...or losing political power and the demise of our Constitutional Republic...thanks to loose canon RINOs like you?

We didn't hire Trump to be a Sunday School Teacher...we hired him to get in the mud and fight. Because people like Sasse won't; and we lose this Nation to the Transnational Progressive Fascists.

Sasse has stepped in it. This is a streetfight, and he's helped the bad guys. Primary challenge coming.

Ben Sasse said that because he’s afraid trump will alienate moderates to go left. And the left to go further left. I don’t think those fears are misplaced.

If “moderates” are willing to embrace the Marxist agenda that the dems have adopted than they weren’t really ever moderate to begin with. Let alone embracing it because of how they perceive the behavior of one man rather than his actions.

Is there anyone alive who did not already know that Ben Sasse did not personally like the POTUS?

Everything in this article could have been written about 90% of the GOP members of Congress. It has never been a secret that they do not like Trump/his family and think they are destroying the party going forward

A majority of that is either true or seems quite plausible.

The constant fight to make a mediocre human being into a great one is not something I'll ever understand. He doesn't need to be a great person.
