Warren clearly thinks she has a winning position with this insanity. She is gonna find out how far out of the mainstream she really is.

Might as well add solo cup, penguin ice, coke-cola and Jack Daniels to the list of those being sued.

30% excise tax on all firearms, 50% (!!) excise tax on all ammunition. What a pathetic attempt to violate the 2nd amendment rights of poor blacks who need firearms for protection the most.

Sure, as soon as they start testing voters to make sure they are intelligent enough to vote and required background check and ID as well.

Which will lead to an incredible discussion where they assert that voting is a right (it isn’t) but gun ownership is not.

It would never survive. It violates the shite out of the 2nd amendment and the 4th amendment too.

Some of the posters here keep saying never apologize and never give an inch. If anyone takes the time to actually read her proposals, she says they will keep revisiting it as new ideas come up. Think about that when wanting to compromise.

Look anyone thinking these restrictions will actually work have no clue about criminals or history. None of the proposals proposed would have stopped Virgina Tech or the University of Texas shooting. Right off the bat that tells you a mass shooting won't be stopped.

Looking at that list of nonsense gun owners better start looking to organize and attack bad laws in the courts while we actually have a favorable court representation. We are not going to get a leader who's a 110% 2A lover but we can get them to appoint favorable 2A judges.

Let's remember this- the Republicans didn't give us the individual right of the 2A, that was done by SCOTUS. Thr Republicans couldn't even repeal the Assault weapons ban after getting control of the House, POTUS and Senate. The law expired.

We are not going to prevail unless we prevail in the courts.

As an Indian Warren ought to know the history of trusting the white man government taking guns away...

Sounds like a poll tax for the 2nd amendment.

Under what legal theory is this not blatantly unreasonable?

They have been using tortured definitions of negligent entrustment to get around the PLCAA. Basically that gun manufacturers and dealers are negligent even by only having certain weapons for sale and they should have forseen potential abuses.

So in her fricked up mind it's ok for people to keep dying from guns as long as we are taxed for it?

Not that I even think guns are responsible, it's just unbelievable logic

Holding gun manufacturers and sellers of firearms liable for deaths involving a gun made by the manufacturer. Warren also calls for this to be retroactive, so a gun death from 30 years ago can be used to bring a lawsuit against a firearm manufacturer or firearm seller.

What a great idea.
We can also sue alcohol companies when a drunk driver kills someone and sue car manufacturers when a person is killed in a car crash.

This will open pandora’s Box. I my not so humble opinion now any manufacturer can be sued for actions beyond their control.

Hell, for that you’d be able to sue ford, Firestone, and the state for building the road.

Pffffttt small thinker. How about magic bullets that only fire when aimed at criminals? As long as we’re going to star believing in magic.... go big or go home.
