You mean the media and politicians like Andrew Gillum?
At the very least, Phillips is dishonest for not correcting these folks.

I'm sure the many veterans who served in Vietnam and lost friends, limbs, and years of their lives would take issue with this guy calling himself a "Vietnam Times" veteran.
He's had ample opportunity to correct the record by this point.
Hahaha it is as a matter of exact and undeniable fact that he is that. You are spinning so hard now I'm afraid you might pass out.

He corrected the media to say he did not serve in Vietnam? Can you link that?

Dude what are you talking about? This thread was started and dozens of people said that Phillips claimed he was a Vietnam war vet
I’m talking about earlier you stupid shite. When you ran away. Are you gonna return and eat some crow?

At the very least these idiots are unwittingly admitting their muh fourth estate is full of shite.

Phillips either lied directly or lied by omission. He knew exactly the picture he painted using Vietnam and Veteran in the same breath. The media did also, and proceeded to do their job.

Exactly

This isn't the first time the PT has shite on a veterans. It's happened several dozen times since the election.
I'm a veteran myself. Just because someone served doesn't give their every action a free pass, mijo.
This native american dude is clearly a charlatan, and you're up in here defending the bullshite by deflecting.

Phillips on the record on video with proof states that he is a Vietnam times veteran. That is a matter of absolute fact. You are losing your shite and still shitting on a veteran bc a person who wrote an article misquoted him. Next time you see a vet with a Vietnam era ball cap on make sure your rip it off and get in his face and question his valor.

My brother, who served in the 1980's, is a Vietnam Times Veteran. You give him the respect he deserves!

You are way too invested in this guy.

I'm just pointing out that so far he doesn't appear to have lied, but the media has - lazily or on purpose. Truth.
Then Phillips is just as culpable for allowing the lie to be propagated. When I was in the military there was something called "lack of candor". This covers lies but also not correcting a lie when you know it's been spread. It also covers deceitful behavior.
For example, your supervisor comes approaches you and says, "I know you couldn't have had anything to do with that bar fight last night because you were in bed sick." If you actually were involved in said fight but remain silent, that is lack of candor.
Nathan Phillips has no honor. Neither does anyone who tries to defend him.

Do you have a link of Phillips correcting all the paraphrasing and misquotes about him being a Vietnam Vet?

He should tell everyone he is a Cold War Veteran... Anyone questions it tell them he saw combat in Antarctica... "So fricking cold we had to fight with knives and shite because the gunpowder wouldn't even ignite"...

quote:It really is....seeing you squirm trying to rationalize why the old guy even mentioned Vietnam at all.
Hahahaha this is great.
I was alive during the Vietnam War, too. Big deal. That doesn't mean I'm more afraid of a bunch of kids waiting to catch their bus than I was when the Vietnam War was being fought.
quote:If I'm shitting on him, and I don't think I am, it's because he personifies stolen valor.
But continue shitting on a vet man. We know that's why you are here.
And you're giving him a pass for doing it.
Posted on 1/22/19 at 3:22 pm to BeeFense5
I'm just loving the video that 100% vindicates the guy yet of lying about being a Vietnam vet. Posters will still double down saying it is stolen valor but this could not have possibly went any better. Any vet that served during that time will say they are a vet of that era by the way. Y'all enjoy the rest of the day. This has been too fun.

No, no vet that did not set foot in country would refer to themselves as a "Vietnam" anything, especially a Marine...
