Supporting the neocons does NOT prevent democrats from getting into office. It only delays it. And while it's being delayed, they aren't really supporting conservative issues, and they are ruining the reputation of the republican party, like right now.
That means if you support neocons, you're adding a minimum of 8 years before a conservative has a chance to win, most likely 12.
If a neocon wins the next election for example, that's 4 years without conservative issues or real change. At which point inevitable it allows the democrats to get back in power, only now they get even more extreme and still get votes because everyone hates the GOP.
So now you're up to 8 years without conservatives. And in that time, the GOP will likely run another neocon, giving the democrats anotehr 4 years and now you are up to 12 years.
That means the earliest we might see another conservative candidate is 2040.
And then you have to hope he actually follows the conservative platform rather than just pretending to for votes. As has been the case since Reagan - and even Reagan had Bush thrown on him forcing/throwing in neocon policy.
So yeah, the sooner the democrats get back in office, the sooner we have a chance at a conservative.
I'm holding out hope he base doesn't forget what it wanted 2 years ago and we get real conservatives running in 2028. But if we don't, I will straight up vote democrat before I'll vote for a republican.
I've watched this shite for 40 damn years now, I know how this goes. I've watched it over and over. The only time conservatives issues get any attention is when democrats are in office.
I don't care who likes it or what people call me. I do not vote for the lesser of 2 evils. Voting for the lesser of 2 evils is why our country is fricked. Since 1980, the past 46 years, Republicans have been in power more often than democrats. 28 years vs 20 years. And even now while having the house, senate, presidency and even the supreme court - no real change is happening.

I'm a conservative and I'm not staying home.
I'm straight voting against any my own republican congressman even if it means voting democrat.
And I'm voting against every other federal election where the candidate is owned by AIPAC and that's basically all republicans.
I will still vote republican when it comes to state officials.
But it's funny hearing people who aren't conservative, such as yourself, trying to claim it's everyone else who isn't conservative.
What do you want to conserve? What makes you a conservative?
You don't want limited government.
You don't want decreased spending.
You support foreign wars.
You support increased police state and a loss of rights for citizens.
You support government owning businesses.
What about you is conservative? You hate trannies and you blindly vote for anyone with a R next to their name? That's what makes you a conservative?
Personally, I think you get paid to post this stupid crap day after day.

The only conservatives in Congress are universally hated here. All 2 or 3 of them.
There aren't any conservatives left. Not running for office, anyway.
No change is the best that can be hoped for.
Not getting any better is far from the worst that can happen. It can get a whole lot worse.
