The turnabout on this is that people start SWATing Dems by claiming they have guns.

Do I see them showing up at Terry McAuliffe’s house at 3AM with a warrant? No. But I can see a smaller fish being harassed in such a manner then raising hell.

I would certainly support that tactic.

I've not followed this at all. Can someone give a brief explanation of what Virginia is trying to do regarding their gun laws? All I can find is article after article on sanctuary cities for amendment rights.

They plan to make a lot of guns illegal that are in common use and not grandfather them in, this will make a lot of people have to destroy their property or become felons overnight.

They are floating the idea of grandfathering in some long guns but only if you register them. Lol, no.

Don’t need boats for streams and trout ponds.

It's pretty hilarious that they are basically throwing the whole sanctuary city thing right back in their faces. We only follow laws that we agree with right?

Apparently it only applies to federal laws they don’t agree with, not state laws in conflict with the Constitution.

The left invented this stuff, they shouldn't have any issues.

Call in a report that there is a suspicious looking "black" man in Northam's house.

Trump should tweet to the Va AG that his state laws have no effect on the 2nd Amendment and that Barr is coming for him.

How do you think a State levying an ammo tax is any different than a Tobacco or Alcohol tax?

Ammo is protected under the 2nd Amendment while tobacco and alcohol are not. And if you imagine an onerous tax on ammo is permissable now until a SCOTUS decision is made then you'd do well to look up Minneapolis Star Tribune Co. v Commissioner.

Setting aside the absurdity of your suggestion from a policy and law enforcement standpoint... if that happens you’ll get the US Army

Speaking of absurdities, your understanding of this situation is absurdly ignorant. The DoD doesn't step in without a Presidential Declaration, period. You think Trump is going to bailout a Left wing moron? Laughable. And yes, blue flu will keep plenty of LEO's home and the Virginia NG units will easily catch it too.

Then why did we need the 18th Amendment to make it legal to ban it?
