Virginia Attorney General says sanctuary counties have no effect on the enforcement of anti-gun laws. AG says “we” will enforce new laws in the state. This LEO publication answers back to the AG “Just WTF is this ‘we’ you are talking about?”
I really thought they’d back off and was admonished for being nice last week. I may have been wrong. These dumb A anti-constitutional liberals may wind up biting off more than they can chew.
ETA Meant “naive” not “nice.” Autospell error

The AG is positioning himself for a massive fail on this. It's been fun watching thus far and looks to only get better.

My guess at this point is that they think the courts will agree with them at least in part and make such laws part of the current push against guns.
I’m saying this because their original plan of “take all the guns” is clearly getting pushback yet they are going forward.

I think the elite Left is dead set on using this as a test case for National Gun confiscation

VA has been such an utter disappointment lately

They can try but Trump will turn around and nationalize them to prevent this.
If Obama or Hillary would be in office? Not so much. They would let the state go ahead.

This will turn into a blood bath. The only way to enforce is to send armed folks to clash with other armed folks.
The retard is strong with this VA administration.

This a-hole AG doesn't realize that THIS IS THE EXACT reason our forefathers created the 2nd Amendment?

So even if some whiny liberal in a bathrobe starts flailing away with a tiny wooden hammer and some ink and paper, the gun grab is not happening. There are no persons willing to go out and execute the grab. The most essential part of the equation to make it work is PEOPLE and they ain't doing it.

The idea of the push back is to make the cost of enforcement so high that the group attempting to impose their will on the other will have to throw in the towel eventually.

I have it on good authority that these aren't really powerful people/positions spouting this in VA, just some goober from an AA district in NOVA...
Nothing to worry about, just smoke and shite...

Probably not.
This is probably the kind of idiot who thinks that the 2nd Amendment means you have the right to have a bear’s arms mounted on your wall.

I'm going to make a prediction here. While these Democrats in VA are talking a big game, behind the scenes they know that they have been checkmated. When the new session begins in January, look for a more moderate bill to make its way through the legislature that does less than a tenth of what they originally wanted it to do.
Because how the hell are you going to enforce this thing? 90% of the state has already said they won't comply with gun control legislation that limits their right to keep and bear arms. If you pass something radical, and you try to coerce them into giving up their weapons, there will be blood.

Well, good luck.

And the moment the first civilian or LEO death occurs, the AG should be arrested and charged with murder and slew of other crimes for violating constitutional rights.

I believe this is their game but it will be another piece to take away rights... it will be more than 1/10th as you assert but no where near as drastic as what they are floating...
They know the game, get the other side all riled up then slip something small in... Death by a thousand cuts...

This would imply common sense prevails.
The hard left will still be pushing for this. It’s a question as to whether the so-called moderate left bolts and keeps it from getting passed or if Northram vetoes it.

This isn't going to work out like they think it's going to work out.

I think municipalities and counties converting themselves into "gun sanctuaries" goes a long way in preventing a death by a thousand cuts. These sanctuaries can simply say the Second Amendment says what it says, and we are not following any unconstitutional laws that are passed by our state legislatures anymore.

Do not surrender the right to bear arms without a fight.
