Vance knows he's got to be cautious with DJT at this point, even if he (Vance) probably better represents what 2024 MAGA was really about.

Trump will pivot all the way to neocon interventionist if that's what it takes to bolster his legacy item (Iran). We saw it with COVID, and I grade that on a really big curve in Trump's general favor.

That Pakistan trip seemed like some type of sacrifice.

I bet it killed half the posters on this thread when JD defended Erika

Yes it’s clear it should be Rubio. Vance can be vice president again to maintain Ohio.

Vance is skilled enough to navigate that. His problem will be the grievance merchants on Twitter in MAGA that will inevitably turn on him.

It’s why the only smart thing Ron did during his campaign was to refuse to be the VP.

That’s the hand of the king/defense of dark arts position in the Trump administration.

I’ll draw some heat with this one, but I wouldn’t have a problem with DeSantis.

There's also the theory that Trump doesn't want the MAGA movement to be politically successful with someone else at the helm, because it would imply that he wasn't central to it all. So he knifes them all before the end. Maybe he could tolerate one of his kids taking over?

Rubio is a two-faced globalist neo-con.

Get ready for record low turnout.

They don’t. Vance is extremely popular among the 45 and under demographic.

There's somebody that we're not allowed to talk about on this board who is the leading voice of young conservatives. And therefore I posit that this board has a ginormous blind spot about what's going on with people under the age of 40

I wouldn’t go that far, but he’s more popular than the Mark Levin’s of the world that’s for sure.
