You're a quick learner. Most people, myself included, are too self absorbed at that age to look deep enough to see the real motives for what the government does. If I saw a patriotic halftime show during the superbowl, I just assumed we were all on the same page and went about my business.

I just had a guy at work tell me people like me are the reason we have variants.
There are only 2 of us not vaccinated. We just had a person test positive for Rona, so they are mad they have to wear masks again.
