Playing us.
They will never have it go too far one way or the other. Power has to switch back and forth to keep the thieves in charge.

Correct. The blue states have for the most part maxed out on gerrymandering. If red states redistrict the Republican party will pick up a bunch of seats.

I think that’s a fair description of him for the most part. I’d add that if he represents the democrat establishment then there is a much bigger problem with their establishment and how they choose to use what power they’ve been given. Or in this case how they dissolved a previously voter approved panel to draw up the districts. That gets scary as there is little chance to check that kind of power. I tend to separate liberals (who I can get along with) and progressives. The progressive wing is the one that truly worries me long term. I hope the remaining liberals have enough sense and strength to push back on the progressives. But I’m not holding my breath on it happening as they’ve shifted ever more leftward over the years.

nope but the 2030 maps will make a huge difference especially if you dont count illegals in census.
That map estimate doesn't take the illegals in the census results into account; and it's likely that several million will no longer be counted, reducing the power of some states and reallocating those seats to states that didn't have a high number of illegals on the census.
States like Maine and Louisiana might potentially gain a seat without actually growing their population.
Texas would lose one and California a few more although Texas's massive gain from domestic migration would more than overcome that.

Louisiana 'bout to pick up a seat or two for the (R) team Sucks to be Garrett Graves
He would win Letlow’s district if she's stays in the senate race, he qualifies and chooses to run. Part of his old district as well.

Yep. And it is past time to do it.

Miguez is already in that race. Graves wont unseat him. And if he jumps in now. Trump wont endorse him

He did no such thing. That is a BS cover story parroted by people that are either liars or don’t know any better. They dissolved a previously voter approved independent panel that drew up the districts. Texas did no such thing that I’m aware of.

Massachusetts and Connecticut have zero republican representation but 30-40% votes republican.

“There are plenty of Republicans in Massachusetts and there’s plenty of people who voted for Donald Trump, but they are a minority overall in the state and they’re distributed more or less evenly across the state,” Brownsberger told GBH News. “Not absolutely evenly, but evenly enough that any district that’s big enough to be a congressional district, it is going to be majority Democratic-leaning.”
Brownsberger pointed to a 2019 study from a Tufts mathematician, which found that, though Republicans often get between 30% and 40% of the vote in Massachusetts, their votes are scattered across the state so uniformly that they cannot be drawn into a majority district.
Same thing applies to Connecticut. But regardless, neither of these states tried to redistrict between the 10 year census as Trump has asked red states to do. So neither of these examples are even relevant. Trump started this shite and every blue state should redistrict as much as they possibly can in retaliation.

Pretty sure that Trump is the one that started this by calling for Texas and other red states to do this. California didn't even talk about this til after trump set it in motion.

Democrats have been gerrymandering for decades. How old are you?
Many states gerrymander. Trump is the one that wanted it done in the middle of the typical 10 year census cycle. No blue state was talking about redistricting mid-cycle until Trump called for it.

Texas followed his and Democrats' lead, then California re-upped. They didn't want to be outdone.

Are you saying no state has ever gerrymandered in between a census cycle?
If the republicans in the states do the right thing they will all gerrymander and will pick up a bunch of seats. The Dems are already maxed out.

They are quite relevant - it’s the basis for the entire conversation. Politically motivated congressional apportionment.
You replied with an article that cites an even distribution of Republicans across the state. Massachusetts could create a very weird looking “republican” district if they wanted too. There’s always a way if the political will is strong enough. That’s the whole freakin’ premise of gerrymandering. It's just not worth the republicans effort because it would be an exercise in futility… and the democrats benefit.
