I also think they underestimated how pissed off all the other women’s teams are about their unsportsmanlike showboating at the last WC. I’ve never seen an American team so arrogant.

Absolutely. I've said it before on this board that Rapinoe is a fraud. She only began her victimhood campaign after Trump was elected, and she wasn't starting every game at the time. She knew what she was doing, and it got her the captaincy, lots of money in endorsements, and loads of media attention.
