This senate bill will pass the house if Mike Johnson allows it to come to the floor for a vote. Mike Johnson better block that pile of dog shite.
There's only so much he can do to block it.
He needs to just assign it to a bunch of committees for them to amend the shite out of it and put real fricking teeth in it (one will certainly kill it - requiring a discharge petition) and it will be in an unacceptable form when it emerges.

I bet a lot of true conservatives will vote for this.

It annoys me to no end that its "20 billion to protect our border" virtually none of it protects anything, it encourages it. Yet that is the soundbite over and over in the media.
The net result will be a compromise and that means all of America has lost. The starting point should be no illegals, the negotiating point should be how many we remove. Instead we start the negotiating point with them at the five yard line and will consider it a victory if they dont score, ie have us cleaning yards for mexicans.

These bills work billions of dollars make people millions of dollars of they vote for it.
The Oklahoma senator involved in this bill was no doubt assured millions.
There can't be any way someone would knowingly write a bill this badly.
If they want to increase legal immigration in all for it. But then you have to shut down illegal immigration.
Bingo - and the votes are all pre-orchestrated based upon who they need, who's in hot water during an election year, etc. It's all theater... all of it. And there isn't a dime of difference between a dem and a republican when you get them behind closed doors. Political parties need to be abolished

Well, this is a senate bill, not a house bill. Care to try again?

Johnson will try and kill it, at least publicly, but we shall see what happens. The ultimate problem is it is absolutely impossible to get to the heights of political power without being a POS. You may have had good intentions, but those intentions do not last when there is money, power, blackmail, etc on the table along with other info that we will never know. It's just a fact. I don't care if you're a crook, just be a crook that has some convictions that helps the country and the people.
The horrible tax bill that Johnson pushed for and passed by the House that the senate hates will get passed in exchange for the house passing this terrible border bill. Either that or both will be killed. Either way it will be spun as the best thing since Reagan! Let's wait and see what show our masters have cooked up for us during the election year.

So we are paying for Israel to bomb Gaza, and we are paying to fix the damage caused by said bombing?
What in the actual F is happening here?
Also, is any of this paid for?

Imagine an bloated bipartisan bill where every cent remained in our own country.
Do we believe that would help anything?
Honest question...

Republicans - yes.

Cassidy is a RINO.
Kennedy seems to be an actual Republican. How conservative is up for debate.
This vote will go along way in displaying that conservatism.
If all he can do is cheer as those that would vote the bill down anyway vote the bill down, what good is he?
That's a serious question because you (and many other Trump devotees) post like you think the Oval Office is just a placeholder. He can't stop Dems from doing frick all, and now he can't even get Republicans to toe the line.
Haven't I seen all sorts of Trump super-supporters in these threads post about how it's going to be glorious to watch him burn the establishment/deep state down in a second term, and that's the reason for excusing him for not doing it in his first? How will Trump do any of it if he can't change the votes of Republicans (or change the Republican voting) in congress that voted for all the shite in the first place?

The GOP blocked Trumps border wall
Now they are wanting to give more money to Biden than Trump asked to let more illegals in.
I can’t wait for that traitor Mitch goes away for good

It's so bad that Lankford sent me and most others in Oklahoma an email about it.
I got it last night around 8 pm and of course that ginger prick has blocked emails from me when I try to respond because I've sent him a few nasty ones. I can't stand him and haven't for years.

SIAP, but FWIW $60B for Ukraine is >110% of the entire annual US Marine Corps budget.

The Biden-Senate immigration bill is complete disaster. The open borders policies it enshrines would destroy our country.
In addition to encouraging nearly 2 million illegal aliens annually to enter the country, paying out over $1 billion to the toxic NGOs that settle illegal immigrants all over the nation, empowering Mayorkas to abuse the asylum process on his arbitrary whim, and ending catch-and-release, this bill that gives Biden and Mayorkas everything they want does something far more sinister. It requires that legal challenges to these provisions be heard by the highly partisan Washington, D.C. courts.
They know exactly what they are doing: Texas has been able to create major slowdowns to Biden's open borders doctrine because our Constitutional system allows us to sue the federal government in fair venues. What Biden, Mayorkas, and the Senate uniparty in the swamp want to do is PREVENT the Texas AG and all other state AGs from acting as a check on the federal government's tyrannical abuses of power. That is unthinkable. It is un-American. This bill is an unacceptable mess that no serious leader could even think about passing. #BorderBill

“House Republicans oppose the Seante immigration bill”
Translated: “We will vote against it, then vote for it late on a friday night after a couple of meaningless modifications needed to buy votes from holdout republicans in the House. This way we will go home in this election year and tell our voters “I voted against the $118 billion dollar Senate bill!” Of course we voted for the $117.89 billion “compromise” bill, but no one is going to look that up.”

If this is true, could we at least print some money to help fix our terrible US infrastructure

The bill gives Secretary Mayorkas the right—for the first time—to grant asylum claims (and thus American citizenship) to illegal aliens at the border without review by the immigration courts, which will be a massive pathway to rubber-stamping amnesty.
