Okay so these Catholic orgs were providing a service that the government no longer wants to fund.
If the funding stream is legally cut under the discretion of POTUS…what’s the goal of the lawsuit? How are they entitled to this money? Was a contract signed somewhere along the way?

Yea, I don't think pledges are legally binding.

Okay that actually does justify a lawsuit. That wasn’t in the OP.

The first step is to recognize the issue. It’s not pedophile priests. Almost 100% of the abuse occurs to post pubescent juveniles. The church has a homosexual issue.
This is correct.

Funny, I thought the church's job was spreading the word of God?.? Silly me.

No tax exemption if you want to engage in politics.

Simply stop funding them with tax dollars. The problem will take care of itself.

I was going to reply with basically the same. If they can't convince the parishioners to fund it, them it's not worth funding. And they know we wouldn't.

Trump should hit them with: “'Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's'".

That’s the episcopal conference in reality.
Gays and trannies.
Not conservative Catholics.
Do conservative Catholics actually represent the catholic church? It doesn’t seem like it. The pope isn't conservative, they banish anyone who calls out corruption, they protected pedophiles for years, they facilitate the destruction of white countries through mass immigration.
It sounds like the catholic church is what it is, but the conservative Catholics just refuse to accept it. Keep your head in the sand but keep sending those checks. The Pope and bishops living in luxury appreciate your blind obedience.
Catholic Charities is Jewish. The conference of bishops is Episcopalian. The poor old catholic church just keeps getting abused by bad actors using their name. One of the wealthiest and most powerful organizations to ever exist just doesn't have the ability to stop their name being tarnished. It's a shame.
Or the catholic church is exactly what non-Catholics think it is.

Is it uncharitable (pun intended) to say that the RCC should sell indulgences to make up the difference?
I doubt they would collect very much for this cause.

It worked well in paying for St. Peter's Basilica.
They should keep doing stuff like this.

Now that would be a constitutional crisis. No need to shut them down, just stop sending them millions to subvert the American taxpayer.

I have been Catholic my entire life but I am really beginning to hate it.
Priest secual abuse cover ups, Communist Pope, boring church services, Confession, and now this. Is there any more corrupt organization around the world than the Catholic Church?

Maybe or maybe not.
First, must look at the funding by congress and what was authorized and for what purpose. If nebulous amounts for the president discretion then it has to be determined if the $13 mil spent was previously "authorized" by Biden or did they just assume?
If they did activites because they always got reimbursed...that is an issue.
Now the next step - were there activities to actually help illegals in this country that may have violated some laws - that could be a problem. Perhaps claw back the money...

Catholics must revolt on their own.
I couldn’t be a member of that church.
Too many people doing the wrong things.
Members have to stop it.

Yeah, melt down some of those gold statues and put on some more humble vestments and you'll find your own money! No more milking US taxpayers.
