If I’m not mistaken, only the declaration of war against Japan and its Axis allies was approved by Congress after the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
I wouldn’t doubt it.

I'm so sick of these jackasses using our tax dollars to fund wars to enrich themselves, and then preach to us about how it's all done out of righteous indignation to help protect America.
Be sick then.

We didn’t participate in the Assad/Russia/Iran collapse.
The only way we could have kept Assad in control was to take over Russian air and ground support and Iranian supply of equipment.

So you wanted the US to put boots on the ground to replace the Russian and Iranian forces that kept him afloat foe decades? How does this solve the non-intervention problem?

Trying to get on the correct page here. It was bad for Israel to hunt the terrorists responsible for Oct.7, but now its ok for US and Israel to topple Syrian gov't and bomb back to middle ages and support the terrorists taking over?

How did we do this?

What?
You have to do a lot of dot connecting with muh CIA (and no real actual evidence) to make this claim. This was Turkey's operation.

Well, thank God. It would be a crying shame if there wasn't a US war somewhere on the planet.

Israel Likud Party foreign policy IS American foreign policy. Pay attention to Bibi. Whatever his wants are, so will be DC's wants.

Several things can be true at once.
Bibi knows Recep Erdogan desires to be the clapha of the modern ME. Erdogan aggression from the north helps Bibi from the south.

What is the point of our air strikes?
Posted on 12/11/24 at 8:03 am to GumboPot
Yes Israel is the distant 2nd lead.
The US wasn't really involved, despite all the muh CIA theorizing.
The real nations who allowed this to happen are Iran and Russia. They had been the security in Syria and engaged in stupid operations elsewhere that have drained their resources so much they can no longer protect Assad.

Here it is:
Funny how the Israel firsters want to absolve Bibi and the Likud Party of all the chaos that is happing in the ME right now when in fact there is a lot of evidence that they themselves are stoking it.

Does it matter? MIC gets to use our tax dollars and bomb people on the other side of the world. For most Americans it's our of sight or of mind.

These airstrikes are taking place after the fall of the Assad regime.
But why? We were told that supporting Islamic terrorists in the war in Syria was necessary to remove the evil dictator Assad. Well, he's gone and his army has collapsed, so exactly who are we bombing?
It appears that our current President and MIC has lied to us for the 8 millionth time. The dumbass warmongers will still fall for the next lie we're fed too.

Is the goal to basically destabilize every other country in the middle east?
