Why is it when the American people are polled on various legislative initiatives such as, congressional term limits, a balanced budget amendment, mass deportations, the SAVE Act, etc. and the results of polling show a majority of Americans want these initiatives codified into law......the Congress does nothing?

From Google AI.......

quote:

Poll results regarding the SAVE Act vary depending on whether the polling focuses on the specific legislation as a whole or the individual voting requirements within it:

Overall Bill Approval: When Americans are polled on the specific SAVE America Act, support generally ranges from 50% to 71%. For instance, a poll highlighted by the White House found 71% of Americans support the Act, while a Navigator Research poll recorded initial support at 50%.

Core Provisions: When polled about the specific mandates—such as showing photo ID or proving citizenship to vote—overwhelming bipartisan majorities, often between 75% and 84%, favor these policies.

quote:

Polls show between 51% and 61% of Americans generally support the concept of mass deportations for undocumented immigrants. However, support fluctuates based on how questions are phrased and whether specific scenarios are detailed.Breakdowns from major surveys illustrate this:

Overall Deportation: An Axios/Harris poll indicated that 51% of U.S. adults supported large-scale deportation policies. Another national poll noted that 61% of Americans favored continued mass deportations.

Criminal Aliens: Support jumps significantly when deportations are focused on individuals who have committed crimes. For instance, a PBS News/NPR/Marist poll found that 80% of Americans support deporting immigrants without permanent legal status who have been convicted of a violent crime.

Specific Circumstances: When polls specify the realities of mass deportation, support drops. An AP/NORC poll found that while respondents favored deporting all undocumented immigrants, they opposed—by a 27-point margin—doing so if it meant separating families with U.S.-citizen children.

quote:

Yes, Americans overwhelmingly support a balanced budget amendment. Polls consistently indicate that about 80% of voters favor a constitutional amendment requiring the federal government to balance its budget, with high bipartisan support spanning Republicans, Democrats, and Independents.

quote:

Yes, an overwhelming majority of Americans support congressional term limits. Polls consistently show that roughly 80% to 85% of the U.S. public favors placing limits on the number of terms members of Congress can serve.

Keep in mind that Google AI ain't exactly a right leaning database search algorithm. Nonetheless, there appears to be a huge disconnect between elected officials and their constituents.

Further proof that members of Congress don’t care what American citizens want.

But the criminal democrats can’t rig elections, it’s obvious to everyone what’s going on.

You’re citing Google AI summaries instead of the underlying polling. Those summaries combine different surveys with different wording, different methodologies, and different dates. That’s not evidence that “85% of Americans support X.” It’s evidence that different polls produce different results.

Also Congress doesn’t vote on national opinion polls. Members represent individual districts and states, not a single nationwide percentage. If national polling alone determined legislation, hundreds of popular ideas from both the left and the right would already be law.

I keep telling yall what is going on here. Republicans overplayed their propaganda.

When the actual Republican bean counters examined the likely effect of requiring primary documents to prove citizenship as a prerequisite to voting, they realized that the Save Act will block at least as many, and likely more Republican voters.

No. As usual Low-T is wrong.

The establishment RINO's enjoy being the Washington Generals to the D's Globetrotters.

They get the goodies and the Beltway Cocktail parties and who knows what else happening behind closed doors.

The RNC makes likely makes way more money/donations when out of power than when in power. They are scared to actually take a stand as our Founding Fathers did. That's why Tillis and Cassidy will not be in the Senate next year.

RINO's, get on board for a greater America, or get primaried.

It’s obvious that you do. You hate the courts and the constitutional system of government. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be for you to hate the way you do.

That's because it has been well over a hundred years since anyone in Congress actually feared their constituents. There was a time when torches and pitchforks, tar and feathers were all very real consequences for governments utterly betraying their people. 18th Century colonists were so fed up at the little things piling up that a 3% tax on tea caused them to revolt against the most powerful empire with the largest military force on Earth.

At some point, it's either going to pop off for real or we will just submit and be fully subjugated. There's no middle ground. It will be one or the other. Unfortunately, I fear that most will give in to subjugation. The panem et circenses and sedentary demeanor caused by our diets, media consumption and 75 years of government-sponsored psyops have led to an overtly placid populace that is too comfortable to even entertain the thoughts of true discomfort. But I won't even get on to that, I could go on for weeks about the ridiculous bullcrap that people complain about when even the most impoverished Americans are better off than 85% of the rest of the world.

This is an amazing statement.

Do you have anything to cite or share that shows the work and research that was put in to discovering this rather interesting conclusion?

They don’t want fair elections. Our voting process is an illusion of participation in the outcome but the outcome is already determined.
