Sounds good but what does neurologically intact mean? What we hope it means?

Great news!

Millions of people praying for Damar's recovery, I'm sure there will be some who claim prayer plays no part in his improvement.

Over the past day, Hamlin has shown that he "appears to be neurologically intact," which means he is responsive, making purposeful movements (i.e. planned movements that he is directing with his brain), and following commands. While the Bills didn't reveal more than that, one of Hamlin's teammates, cornerback Kaiir Elam, tweeted that Hamlin is awake.

At this point I would assume it means not brain dead. As in he's gonna make it

I think it means they take him in and out of sleep and when he is out of sleep he responds. He won't remember it but he responds as a person with healthy neuro function would. It's my understanding that they have him in this semi-coma so that his lungs heal from apparent injury from aggressive CPR.

Docs, correct me if I'm wrong please.

His lungs continue to heal? Was it not a heart issue or did the heart issue cause the lung issue?

Apparently respiratory injury from aggressive CPR.

In his current context, it most likely means he can squeeze someone’s hand and wiggle his toes on command.

I go back and forth sometimes when it comes to prayer. I pray because God commands me to but I don’t know that I believe it changes God’s mind or anything. That’s why my prayers usually don’t petition him all that much or if I do, it’s a “if it be your will” kinda thing. I more-so pray for comfort to the families and peace in awful circumstances. I may be completely wrong in that though.

Usually responsive...might have lost some language skills, speech, neuromotors, but some of that gets coached back.
He knows his momma is there...all that matters.

Added to the OP that his buddy tweeted he is awake. With no further details of 'awake'.

Sounds like he’s responding to commands in awakening trials.

Best thing about prayer...let it rip how you see fit.
Jesus gave us the Lord's Prayer...it's pretty solid, good format, covers the bases, although not specific.

Hopefully it means his brain didn’t suffer a prolonged depletion of oxygen & he’ll fully recover.

Props to the EMT crew on hand.

No doubt. I always try to keep it like Christ did. “Lord if it be your will let ______happen but nevertheless, let your will be done.”

Sometimes when people start with the “lord cover ________ with the matchless holy anointing blood of the lamb and we believe he will be healed.”

It’s like, bro they may not be saved. It may not turn out super well. It just always rubbed me wrong when people try to “holy up” their prayers with extra fluff that God’s word actually says doesn’t impress him.

Sometimes things don’t go the way we hope so my prayers are typically more centered on acceptance and obedience rather than trying to get god to do what I want him to.

Suffered no brain damage. My guess is he's probably medically sedated and still not awake.
