I’ve been considering cancelling a few State Farm life policies and converting my AIG policy instead recently. This may be what puts me over the top.
I will never have a State Farm policy ever in my lifetime. I dropped those fukers 20 years ago

Let's see what agents do when their customers start cancelling policies.
Working on it.

quote:Its worth asking at this point… why the hell would a company do this? It doesn’t help their profitability. It doesn’t help them sell more insurance
The auto insurance company State Farm is encouraging its agents in Florida to donate books promoting transgenderism to 5-year-olds
policies. It makes no operational sense.
Are these companies being threatened? Having companies behave so oppositional to their mission and profitability, it’s worth asking some questions.

Please share what they have to say. Whether the agent agrees with it or not you should still cancel. That's the only way to get enough of their own agents to stand up to corporate to put an end to that crap.

Wow he answered my email right away. He is a family guy and said he told corporate to please leave politics out of the branches because he has had almost 10 messages already today and is pretty upset. I know he is Maga because I stop He said he did not participate at all and is upset the company got involved. He participates in veterans affairs primarily he said

OK I just got off the phone with my SF agent and she doesn't think it's true (she's quite conservative). She hasn't found anyone in the company that has authorized or otherwise approved this but she's still looking.
IF it turns out to be true she said she would send the name, email address and phone number of the person and I'll post here for us to put them on blast.
Send her this link that was posted a few above you...it has the email in it. This could help her search.

Had a big claim with State Farm years ago. Their whole system was set up to frustrate you and you hold on to every nickle th e y could. Terrible.
I went with USAA after; they used to be good, but they absolutely screwed me on an auto claim a couple years ago.
Any suggestions?
I've had GEICO forever just for my auto, as they have been good when I've needed them. But, knock on wood, I'm pretty good driver other than sporadic ticket every few year and a stolen vehicle. I've also heard that a company called Amica (S?) is good, but that was something I randomly heard but never looked into them or know where all they cover.

Pretty much all of our insurance is from SF, due largely to a lifelong relationship with our agent - I mean that literally, my mother-in-law knew our agent's parents for almost 70 years. The father had started the agency and his son (who is our age) took it over. We've been policy holders for 35+ years ourselves.
In 2020, after Hurricane Sally, we needed a new roof. State Farm said we could get by with patching it, and estimated that and repairing the damage inside the house from the leaks would cost us around $5k. After figuring depreciation and deductibles, they sent us a check - for $147. Basically enough to buy lunch for the roofers.
Ended up having our roof inspected by a public adjuster, and had it entirely replaced for about $16k (paid for by an SBA emergency loan). Law firm is still haggling with SF to pay for the roof and the interior damage, having esitmated it at around $40k. SF offered a $6k settlement. It's in arbitration now.
Needless to say, we will probably have to shop for a new insurance company.

I contacted my State Farm agent, he was not there but their office is not aware of this. I copied the link from the poster on here and e mailed it to him. I'll see what he says. This would be unbelievably stupid if this is true and I will definitely leave them after 30 plus years.

Is there a Jose Soto, State Farm Corporate Responsibility Analyst because that is who sent the email.
Can someone verify.
If this is true it is disgusting. Also, I don’t think Florida public schools just take books for their library but not positive

BREAKING:
@StateFarm
sent out a mass email to their staff today stating “we will no longer support that program” after they were exposed for supporting a project to push LGBTQ books into schools.
A source tells me “the agents were really upset when we found out.

Kudos to all the SF policy holders and SF agents who pushed back on this.
Just shut up and sale insurance policies!

Mine got a very short WTF email along with the link. He responded within 10 minutes and said he knew nothing about it but he would get to the bottom of it in a hurry. I told him I was not playing games in terms of shopping around.

I can assure you other agents are going to use this to steal business.

You are getting screwed on representation and help if you are using State Farm. When you raise a claim, the company will treat you like crap.
Posted on 5/23/22 at 8:33 pm to Linoge
I think the agent that insures me knows what most of the people around here think about it.

Just don’t get why companies see any kind of benefit in getting involved either way. They have idiots in their boardrooms who just see dollar signs and don’t care about the ethics or shareholder impact.
