I am not running cover for Comey at all. I am just pointing out that Guzman did not testify at his trial. I didn't even mention the word "Comey".

I hear you, it that "crazy precedent" ship sailed a couple years ago. Here we are.
Republicans can fight fire with fire and send the message of mutually assured destruction, or they can sit back and watch democrats do it again in a few years.
I don't know about you, but I think there's a better chance of toning this crap down by fighting fire with fire rather than by taking the high road. Republicans have done that too many times already and look where it got them.

He has explained this in detail. They spent a ton of time and resources getting rid of the bad apples, while still fighting crime and locking up bad people at the same time. Still ongoing.
