Univ of Wisc paying 495 foreign workers combined total of $42 million per year?

Universities were liberal back when I went to school. They are now cauldrons of nastiness.

I remember being at the Wisconsin game in 2016.

Overall it was a good experience. Before the game, all the Wisconsin fans were thinking they lose...after the game they started talking a little shite as we were leaving. Some were cool, I thought, and we were talking and I said we have got to bench our QB. One of the younger Wisconsin fans (a girl) heard me and started stereotyping me as a southern racist because I thought BH was a terrible QB. She literally told me I wanted him removed because he was black and that this is what the South deals with. LOL. I told her NO, I wanted him removed because he pissed his pants when the big lights came on.

There's hundreds of job listings in DFW for HB1 like this:

I would assume Americans could and would do these jobs but once the Indians get in a hiring position they only hire their own.

In the late 80’s, I bet that easily a third of my MEEN professors were foreign. A few were godawful to understand, but some were also the best profs I ever had.

That’s pretty true based on my experiences.

Part of it is that 1G Indians often don’t know how to communicate effectively with American programmers so they bring in people they feel more comfortable with, but make no mistake there’s a cultural element to it as well.
