By American loyalty you mean ignoring things and always claiming everything your country does is correct no matter what?

The military doesn't even take an oath like that.

We had a phrase back in the day - I love my country and hate my government. I guess you don't get that.

Lol... your "day" and my "day" certainly have never had anything in common.
We don't agree on anything, I don't think that will change.

While I think most of your post is speculative bullshite…this statement makes it an even scarier iran if so.

This is some neocon "you're either with us or you're against us" garbage. This was an idiotic war to start with and we destroyed any hope to win hearts and minds by killing a bunch of kids.

Throw that trash in the ocean.

Nah that poster is right and I’ve said it to you before as well.

I’ll make you a deal I will pay for a ticket and spending money for a week if you go to Iran right now and see how they welcome you.

I don't know what day yours was, but even Mark Twain had a version of it.

"Patriotism is supporting your country all the time and your government when it deserves it."

I learned it in the military. In the military you swear an oath to the constitution, not to the government. There is a big separation there on purpose and the phrase reflects that sentiment.

So when people didn't like something, that phrase or something like it was common. I love my country, but I hate this government. I love my country, but Clinton is killing me. etc.

I don't care what happens 6,000 miles away and I don't want to see Americans die playing team world police in that shitehole.

Research it yourself. It's all I did. I was curious about the details, so I researched it. It's somewhat fascinating.

Apparently the remaining engineering steps are even more difficult/complex than getting to the 90%. Which is more about the time it takes to enrich since it's a chemical process rather than an engineering problem.

Personally I don't really care if they get one. The power isn't in using them, it's in having them. You use them, you're fricked. It's a political power as much as anything.

Instead I think we should focus on actual defense. We need to be ready for them from any source. Russia has a bunch of them, we need to defend against that. NK has them - and threatens to use them, Israel, Pakistan, India, China and on and on.

There's another useful phrase:

"My country, right or wrong. If right, to be kept right; and if wrong, to be set right."

We're the good and powerful guys. If we make a mistake, we own it, and try to make sure nothing similar happens again.

This chicken shite "we don't know if we did it...we are still investigating whether or not we did it" is the kind of dodge a Banana Republic would pull. It's embarrassing .
