We had the Highway of Death in Desert Storm. Trump should have thought of this when he decided to be the main force for the last big Ukraine aid package. No US aid, no war. Also, he could have ended this by now during his term. Russians already got duped once and NATO used that time to arm and train Ukraine. I don't think Russia will go for that again.

Russia has been shooting a good chunk of the ones who surrender, surrendering wouldn’t be a guarantee. Given these guys are on Russian and not Ukrainian soil, not a gamble I would advise
