I believe they are mostly from the Azov battalion and as Evil as they may be, they are pretty bad arse for having holed up down below that plant for this long.

Huh...well now what will Putin want to leave? At some point, these people need to sit down and figure out how to move on. At this point this Zelensky dude is just milking foreigners for money, and that's it.

Anyone know what the actual difference between this time, and when Russia went after Crimea is? Other than money laundering and just political pandering, of course. Was there an actual different reason for Russia then then now?

So not just a land grab, especially for more water/port frontage? What was Crimea about again?

I just figured both these were land grabs for water access and these area have more Russian allies in their population.

Cede control is the way the new york times would say surrender.

Meh. People who have half a brain knew this was going to happen. It still doesn't mean that your hero boys on the Russian side are doing a good job in the war.
