Yep, they have nothing left. Europe screwed them on brexit and they shat all over Trump with Russiagate, they were up to their eyeballs in that.

The point is when asked on here specifically the definitions of globalism vary greatly

You failed to even tell us what you thought it meant in your own thread the other day

Maybe you would like to do that for us now?

He won’t

The world order is fracturing: Starmer is but one of the many hydra heads connected to the Brussels-led Globalist regime.

Globalism is in fact dead in the sense that Starmer means.

The world is sub-dividing back down into regional protectorates led by either the United States or China, representative of our new multi-polar world order.

Uh...no. The definition of globalism is something along the lines of: "The operation or planning of economic and/or foreign policy on a global basis."

Well who is doing the planning at a global level? Is that an elected position?

I don’t disagree with your definition or take, but the reality is globalism is something that could only be managed by very few and powerful people, and the tactics that follow are often quite sinister.

Sorry if I am skeptical and will believe it after I see it. And even then, I'll still be suspect of his motives.

Starmer is uncommonly evil.

Well the markets have lots of private actors but yes, governments will still exist. But the largest population will be private actors making economic choices in the international economy.

globalism is something that could only be managed by very few and powerful people,

Now you sound like a Leftist discussing the economy

The point of the definition he's using is to create wider international markets. Those markets will be "managed" by countless private actors making decisions within the market.

What Starmer is arguing for in OP is to restrict this and have government more involved in the management, to help "the middle class" (effectively). This is your standard leftist economic outlook, just like the Nancy Pelosi video that's been circulating. Starmer is anti-neoliberalism and opening up market actors more broadly.

It's even in his Wiki page

quote:

Another contrasting belief is that Starmer definitively subscribes to the left end of the socialist spectrum, arguing that "Labour under Starmer has advanced a politics of anti-neoliberalism like that of Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell", and that Starmer "differs markedly from New Labour" in "aspiring to restructure an economic model perceived to have failed"

I don’t think anyone is afraid of the UK, Canada, Australia, and some Caribbean islands negotiating as a market. Good luck on that one Keir. Tell Australia that are on their own against China.
