So you don't see an issue with a company a) trying to determine if the owner is black, b) literally discriminating against other minority groups, and c) publicizing it so they get positive press instead of just doing it.

They are high as balls if they don't think one of their lackeys are going to mistake a light skinned black individual as another race and just get crushed. Somehow asking companies if they are African American owned seems like an issue in itself.

Trust me Uber will bury this delivery fees somewhere in their fee structure to all riders.

Here’s a theoretical for you... if drivers realize they are getting fricked by this when payments are sent out, do we see drivers being unwilling to take fares to black owned restaurants?

and pretty typical the responses from the Dems on the board have no issue with it

What if I’m an 1/8th-black restaurant owner? Will they just take my word for it, or require a DNA test, or maybe do the old brown paper bag test?

Are you suggesting fraud will be a problem here?

Can say I’ve never thought about the color of the restaurateur.

Great food but I have trouble eating from a place where the chicken wears a Farrakhan suit.

Done with Uber Eats and I was using it pretty frequently.

Imagine being a restaurant that is on Uber Eats and having your business pushed to the back of the line. This is an actual issue of discrimination.

How can I order food from them, if their movement burned down their restaurant?

korkstand will not be happy they haven't adopted 'uber eats neutrality' here.

the entire food delivery world is in chaos since we are allowing the free market to dictate which restaurants gets preferential treatment.

I'm pretty sure someone is going to file a lawsuit. You can't charge a business more for the same service based on the color of the owner's skin.

I suppose if there is a problem that would be it. It has the potential to hurt other businesses.

Although I'm thinking Uber eats will become much less relevant soon when states start allowing restaurants at full capacity.

If they don't watch out they may force certain people away from eating at black owned restaurants, which I don't really think Uber's free rides will make up for.
