And regarding chess, I think sane people all agree that the brains of women and men tend to have different strengths. Again, a trans-chick playing chess against a real woman does not offend me as much as sports reliant on physical strength. But... we are different.

That’s wonderful!

I'm not a tremendous player, just very good for someone who plays relatively little, and I routinely stomped out the state women's champion at a local saloon whenever we played.
What's your FARGO score? Do you shoot w a glove? What are the specs of your cue?

Do men really have a physical advantage in billiards?
Maybe in reach, height may help looking down on the table??
One thing is sure, men are better at math, and pool is a game of geometry and physics. I really don't recall more than a couple of women players that were very good.

Not a fig, so no.

Whatever is fairly straight in the cue holder on the wall.

but why is pool separated by gender?
I can see a significant advantage on the break and maybe a slight advantage on using english to draw back the cue.The big break is key though when either player is likely to run out.

the same about women’s chess tourneys.
I'm not sure why but men seem to have a decided stamina advantage in the long grueling games. In the Soviet days the Russian state players had mandatory fitness and conditioning regimes to prepare for those games. It seems a little counter-intuitive since so many of the greats were notorious drunks, (and half crazy). Alekhine actually lost the World Championship when he passed out drunk at the table in 1935 but he won it back a year later in the mandatory return match.

This nonsense has been going on awhile now and I still am not aware of any biological female-turned dude dominating any men’s events.
These stories all seem very one-sided.
Wonder why that is.

I know rationally looking at this, it would seem there is no real advantage. But if you put the top women’s player in there with the top men’s, she will get killed. Don’t know why, but it just is what it is.

If they are so special, they should have their own tranny league!

Leave it to a man to show women how it’s supposed to be done.

And patience with a bit of logic thrown in. I think that's what really does them in.

Pool - like many less brute strength sports- requires a very complex set of control factors. One must assess velocity, spin/“english” given to the Cue, accuracy of line with concurrent off center english designed to maneuver around balls on the table to a point lining up to the next target ball. The position on the next ball should be within a 6” circle and considering the angle that the cue will take towards the next ball. The entire strategy of the order if balls would be decided at the first shot, even including any breakouts of problematic ball positions. And there are innate talents which determine a player’s ability to ‘see’ the angles, add in the spin and the momentum/“roll” that is critical to executing the entire strategy. The Filipino Master, Reyes had an extraordinarily talent to see the angles like many do not. The break is critical and women are lacking in the upper body strength. And likely as well to have the innate physical and psychological talent to perform all of the above in one concentrated instant. Those “dudes” suck as they have an advantage and zero respect for the players they cheat.

Because for whatever reason women are not good at pool.
They're not good at any sport. Whatever they're playing in, is unwatchable. They play tennis in slow motion, watching them attempt basketball is hilariously bad, and women's 12 inch softball is a joke.

I don't even understand the reason for gender segregation in a sport that requires 0 athletic ability though.
Posted on 4/6/25 at 3:49 pm to LordSaintly
Generally, most women have less spatial awareness. (ie: gets lost when traveling in new areas, parallel parking difficulty, merging seamlessly into heavy traffic, etc.) It's challenging for most of them to mentally map out a certain space.
All it takes in pool is one misjudged angle or imprecise english and that could be game vs someone with superior spatial calculation & execution.

There is some athletism involved. Not much, but it's present. Hell, they can't even drive a car.
