Nice pivot.

"everyone" is now "many people"

Also, there won't be any increase in rent to cover these taxes. The RGB froze rental increases at 0% this year

That makes this essentially a tax on everyone.

Everyone who has a 2nd home. Not everyone in NYC.

Yes, because not "everyone" rents out their properties. "Many people" do, and those tenants will be paying for these taxes.

Renters are about to get his with massive rent increases as most of these 2nd homeowners rent their properties out. The renting class voted for this stupidity because they were too lazy or uneducated to understand the impact.

You are 100% correct but they framed it as someone who had a second house that they occasionally visit but that is not how the law reads. It was intentionally written in a vague manner. Anyone who owns a second house in NYC is subject to the new tax.

As per my earlier post, according to Zillow, there are 8,579 UNITS (townhomes, condos-- not single family homes) under $1 million being listed for sale in the City of New York right now. And they are actually spread out pretty well. No telling how many more (much more than that, for sure) are NOT being listed for sale.

You are being disingenuous here. You are attempting to go through the mental gymnastics to appear like you don’t understand his point that the original supposedly narrow focus of the tax is much broader for both those directly taxed and other indirectly impacted citizens.

He’s just taking a position opposite the majority of the board.

He doesn’t really believe anything.
