Why wait until last day?

Well, Fauci should be going to jail for a few reasons then...

But did he really?

If this is all Tusli had, this "burning it all to the ground as she leaves" was a lie.
There has been very little of substance in all of these releases.
You can see the cope by people doing the "they have to start small so people don't panic" and then the releases are subjects discussed at length for years that require no such "safety net".
Just a huge fail for a certain population.

No state has jurisdiction over any of this, so it can' be done at the state level.
State civil suits by whistleblowers for retaliation. You just need to link Fauci to the retaliation. The pardon does not protect against civil suits.

You can't sue a federal agency in state court...well you could try, but it would be removed. That's assuming the jurisdiction was outside of DC, mind you.
It's VERY difficult to sue persons in their individual capacity for these claims

Why do people still bleat about a legislator not performing the actions of the executive (enforcement) branch? Do people really think congressmen and senators have the powers of arrest?

There is a reason the term NPC was invented

Fauci personally. Show that he acted outside his official capacity as director. Retaliation is not part of his job description.

I already covered this.
He could be named in the suit, but the suit would be against the agency...in federal court. The DOJ would have to defend him, too

State charges?
I'm not a lawyer, so I asked Grok:
quote:
Bottom LineTheoretically possible? Yes — states have the legal power to charge federal officials for state crimes if the conduct falls outside protected federal duties and violates a specific state statute. Several states are actively looking into this avenue post-pardon.Practically viable or likely? No. The combination of strong immunity protections, the federal nature of Fauci’s role, evidentiary challenges, and procedural barriers makes successful prosecution extremely difficult. Policy advice and national response coordination during a pandemic are the kinds of official acts historically shielded.Different perspectives exist: Critics argue Fauci should face accountability for alleged deceptions or harmful policies that affected states; defenders view his actions as good-faith efforts in an unprecedented crisis and warn against criminalizing policy disagreements or scientific debate. This is a complex area of federalism and immunity law with limited direct precedents for a figure in Fauci’s position. Any actual case would depend heavily on specific facts and evidence presented in court. For the most current developments, checking official state AG announcements or court records is advisable.

He testified that never happened. And dickweed Rand Paul did jackshit about any of it.
I don't understand this take. What is a senator supposed to do more than expose wrong doing in a hearing? They can't go arrest anybody themselves.
If the DOJ doesn't take the evidence and the testimony and pursue it, there is nothing more they can do except try to get the public's attention and push the public opinion.

In the Idiocracy, people apparently want Rand to jump down like this is a WWE shoot and drop Fauci with a power bomb

It was Biden’s DOJ that would have had the opportunity, not Trump’s.
Your Idiocracy gif aside.

Some were larger than others. But Fauci caused harm around the entire world, almost no area was left unaffected. People died, were permanently injured, economies destroyed, etc. He is one of the worst people that has ever lived.

Final day at DNI? Where is she going? She has been a star in that role.

Congress can't do this.
"Dr. Fauci to the best of your knowledge, how were Dr. Peter Daszak of EcoHealth Alliance, Dr. Ralph Baric in Chapel Hill, and Dr. David Morens your assistant at NIH, or others in the US involved in Wuhan GOF support."
Either he rats, perjures, or is in contempt for refusing to answer.
