I’ll go to my grave believing that it was leaked on purpose.

Why don’t they just arrest him and make him plead the pardon.

The idea of a preemptive pardon is ridiculous. Like when in the legal process is it supposed to kick in? At what point would it be considered collusion?

Just arrest him and try him anyways. We're not a nation of laws anymore. 30+ mil illegals have proven that.

Why? Rand was the one asking the questions and Fauci was the one lying.

Quite a few posters will not only completely avoid this thread, but also pretend they never saw it.

And in the event that they do participate, will either smugly state that nothing will happen or risk breaking their own spines as they contort themselves in the effort to explain why it doesn't mean what Tulsi plainly says it does.

. And dickweed Rand Paul did jackshit about any of it.

I think he referred Fauci to the DOJ multiple times. I know he did it at least once.

Nothing else he can do

What do you think Rand could do? Citizens arrest him?

Rand did what he could. The DOJ is the one who did nothing.

Fauci is pardoned for any of these crimes. I don't know what y'all think can happen, at this point.

No state has jurisdiction over any of this, so it can' be done at the state level.

Put the SOB under oath. Question him about everything he had his grimy hands on. Make him rat out anyone not covered with an immunity deal. If he lies, throw his wrinkled lying arse in jail.

See y'all lose credibility when you do stuff like this

Congress can't do this. That's a DOJ/police move, and it only works if they can threaten him.

This also would play DIRECTLY into the "Trump is a fascist" narrative and turn off many in the middle/moderates who flipped to him from 2020 to 2024.

Why? You’re really asking why? It’s called the constitution. Rand doesn’t have the authority. Trump does.

You aren’t wrong. Fauci is a criminal and should face the consequences of his actions.

Too bad autopen invented preemptive blanket immunity pardons dating back to just before he started breaking laws.

Dr. Fraudi is not immune from state civil suits by former whistleblowers for retaliation. There may be some state criminal laws to pursue from state attorneys general. Dig until you find something. He also lied under oath making material misrepresentations. Perjury charges may be pursued under state law where it occurred.

Neither. Steve Bannon served four months in jail for failure to comply. Dr. Fauci materially lied to the Senate well after Trump was out of office, by the way.

Lying is often charged as making a materially false statement to the federal government (commonly 18 U.S.C. § 1001) or as perjury (18 U.S.C. § 1621/1623) if it was under oath (perjury statutes can carry up to 5 years).

His 2024 testimony was in DC.

Federal jurisdiction

Weren't these actions in DC, where all the federal agencies are?

How?
