I talked to my brother that’s lived on the big island in HI for almost 25 years. Before he moved away, he was cool. Ron Paul/ Loose Change type of guy back in the day. But, unfortunately, he has gotten kinda leftist over the years; for example he is all-in for Ukraine.
I talked to him for a couple of hours tonight, and asked him about Tulsi since she is from his current state. He does not like her (he mentioned the Russia and Assad shite that has been debunked, so I ignored that part) because her dad ran a cult and she is, according to him, still heavily involved in it. That didn’t make a whole lot of sense to me, since she chose to become a Hindu as an adult. He said HI hates her so much that they voted in a nobody in to take her seat.
What do y’all think? I’m not a fan, as I disagree with her 2A and economic stances, but, I like to know as much as possible. I like to learn more from people that know more than I do, so please drop knowledge if you have it.

It's amazing that the NeoCons have talked the left into a forever war. These were the same people who protested Iraq. Now they want war with a nuclear power? That's incredible.

Most progs don't like her because she used to be in favor of conversion therapy. Nevermind that those are views she hasn't held in many years. Any slight against the LGBTQ community cannot be forgiven.

It sounds like your brother trusts the narrative that NYT and PBS set. It's very sad how many intelligent people (particularly white females) fall into this trap.
Hopefully something will red pill him with minimal damage. I've learned that these kinds of people have to have their eyes opened organically. They can't seem to be convinced via discussion or persuasion (at least, not in my experience).

Tulsi has not allowed AIPAC or Israel to get total control of her like most DC Democrats and Republicans. So she’s good IMO.

What kind of cult, and she and/or her dad are still active? I don't understand how converting to Hindu counters anything here. I also thought it was her husband that brought her to Hindu.

I’m 60 years into a life waiting for someone to publicly recognize that we can’t afford to keep printing money and pouring it into the MIC and dropping bombs on little brown people on the other side of the world just so some well placed people can purchase another beach estate.
