“Really what is happening when they do that is they’re undermining our democracy because what they’re doing… is saying, ‘I’m doing what’s best for the country and I know what’s better for the country than the majority of the American people who chose this duly elected president,” Gabbard told Kelly. “The only way we bring about accountability is by doing the work of conducting these investigations.”

What a hilarious quote.

Of course the Director of National Intelligence Council will have more information with which to make assessments.

So with more information - they would know better about what is happening - than the less informed American public.

They lash out at the liberals and democrats for politicizing everything
Politicizing everything? Like, for example, liberals and democrats leaking information regarding a singular confidential intel committee opinion which, in it's singular otherwise completely unimportant offering, can then be artificially elevated to seeming political importance in the liberal and democrat sycophant media?

A reasonable person will wonder if you're taking a jab at Trump or the people who produced the intel.

No. I’m not. The Trump admin is making major mistakes just like Biden. You just happen to think they are justified but the type of governing he and his admin are doing is what is at issue.

You really believe that by Trump declaring TdA as terrorist will be used as an excuse to promote conflict with Venezuela so he can feed the MIC?

Sounds like you're implying Trump doesn't actually feel they're subject to the AEA and is just manufacturing it to shoehorng them into the AEA

Fascinating. I guess you won't need me for the rest of the conversation.

No. I think most of us think Trump and especially his admin have a specific result in mind and will try to find any excuse to justify how they do it, even if illegitimate. Biden and Obama did this too, so it’s not unique to Trump. It’s just hilarious that his supporters think he is somehow more honorable.

Again, this admin lives off the ends justify the means no matter what.

Well, almost everyone that is supporting this in this thread alone says the ends justify the means, so what’s the point of discussing it with you?

I literally told MAGA people they needed more immigration judges/courts for this policy to work dozens of times leading up to the election.
Right, and """MAGA people""" pointed out that, given cost and time constraints and the size of the foreign invasion, hiring legions of judges to fully deal with millions and millions of invaders over a two to three year compressed timeframe is not just impractical; it would be completely impracticable.

God forbid letting the truth come out exposing the phony Venezuelan gang connection. That could make it tougher to grab people off the street and send them to the Gulag.

Yikes. We’re losing a lot of experience intelligence and cyber intelligence people with these firings. It’s concerning because it’s probably something as simple as the intelligence contradicting Trump. I don’t think this is good policy
then explain the leaks directly to media outlets.

Good the NIC is there to serve the president and not oppose him. If the intelligence doesn’t back Trump up change the intelligence. He is saving the country and if he fails we are done.

I back Trump, but I value truth more. I think this is such a fundamental distinction. I want all the policies of the US to be based on reality.

Are you really saying that intelligence should be adjusted to support whatever policy President Trump wants irrespective of the truth?

It’s been a rogue agency for decades and has controlled presidents and congress since at least the 60’s.

Everyone on both sides of the aisle should be thrilled and want more firings

You do realize we live in a post truth era - results are all that count.

As long as Trump is in there what he says is true is true. He comes out tomorrow and says the sky is green then I’ll happily call the sky green. It’s worth it to save the country from demons on the left.
