Unbelievable... This board is so ate up with "Jews bad" that they will actually take the word of someone claiming Hamas is the victim. You people have become what the left is toward Trump, and toward Christians.
You equate people saying that Israel has a right to exist and protect itself from it's enemies (who also happen to be the enemy of Christians) with "worshiping" Israel. Well I guess all of you so-called "patriots" must worship Palestine, since you're all in on taking their side.

The United States should stay out of it.

We should stay out of lending a hand in eliminating enemies of western society? Should we have stayed out of world war 2, as well?
Israel and the United States do a lot for each other. Much of our military and other technology comes from them, and we manufacture it here. We aren't putting boots on the ground in Israel, and haven't been asked to. What does it mean to have allies, if you abandon them when they are at risk of being annihilated?

Israelis have been doubling down on kicking christians and muslims off their family land/olive groves in the Wes Bank that they've been inhabiting for centuries/decades. Shooting them/burning them to the ground a lot of times. If you speak up about it, Lindsey Graham will call you a holocaust denier like the good goyim he is.

Does an ally sell your military tech back door to the chinese? Does an ally trade intel to the Russians? Israel is not our ally, Israel will do whatever they deem necessary for them to maintain their control.
Israel is the only country we provide military aid/monetary aid to where they do not allow us to see what they actually do with the money. It's ridiculous.

George Washington warned against entangling alliances. What has Israel done for the US?

Which jurisdiction? If your screen name is any sort of clue I'm guessing OCA.
Why does my “jurisdiction” matter re: this???? Plenty of ROCOR, OCA, Antiochian and GO deer hunt. Humility matters before calling others names.

It doesn't matter, I was just curious. When meeting other Orthodox Christians I find it interesting to learn which jurisdiction they're in. As you know, there aren't all that many of us in this country.
If you haven't ever seen The Deer Hunter, find it and stream it and I think it will help you understand why I asked about your name. I'm not calling anyone names, not sure where that comes from - I was merely curious whether or not you were alluding to the movie.

Interesting take. So pointing out that Christians in Israel are sometimes persecuted is equivalent to "claiming Hamas is the victim"?

My apologies - I totally forgot about the wedding scene in the Orthodox church - of course it stood out after converting to Orthodoxy and watching it again…it was a beautiful scene and reverent. Good catch on the username sir.
Wish I had thought about that when taking the screen name - serendipitous in retrospect.
I started off at ROCOR, but now attend OCA parish due to where I live. We are packed to the walls with converts. How about yourself?

My apologies for creating a misunderstanding.
GOA, originally from New Orleans and now splitting time between Baton Rouge and Biloxi.
A few years ago I was privileged to be able to visit the ROCOR cathedral in San Francisco and while there to venerate St. John of Shanghai. That place is stunning.
Fun fact, every Orthodox Church that I have ever pledged stewardship to has been Holy Trinity.

God bless you brother.
During my journey to Holy Orthodoxy, I tried attending Holy Trinity in BR - it was closed for “covid”, so that was a pass for me at the time.
Have attended Holy Trinity in Biloxi while at VA hospital; great experience and beautiful sanctuary. I believe there is a stained glass icon of St Michael at right rear that I always stood next to.
Lord have mercy on us all.

Just as passionate as the Jew-hating terrorist-loving Hamas fans.
I’m personally okay with both sides being completely cut off from US funds and then let the chips fall where they may.

I'm more than fine pointing out that Christians face persecution in Israel. The Haredi hate Christians.
But a number of people here lie about how much of a threat Islam is.
I know Syrian (relatives), Jordanian(went to High school with), Coptic (Work Friend) Maronite (Went to Church with), Armenian (College, and Work friends), Aramean (College Friend), and Assyrian (Church) Christians.
I also know a number of Nigerian, Pakistani, Indonesian, and Filipino Christians.
In every case there is a fear of Muslims.
Israel vs Islam, the deaths are not even in the same realm of numbers.
One is a dick, the other is a mass murderer.
And before anyone says "It's cause NeoCons/Jews, explain Nigeria, Sudan, Pakistan,
Look at the map, tell me there isn't a pattern,
https://www.persecution.com/globalprayerguide/?_source_code=WHPB20C
They fully admit Israel is hostile.
The Arab nations all formally restrict the rights of Christians, which is far worse than general hostility.

Yes here’s two links just look up what’s happened to the Christian village of Taybeh. Been a Christian settlement since the Byzantine Empire.
Agreed the settlers are terrible, has there been a shooting of Christians by settlers like you said?

There's been an erasure of Christians by "settlers," and it has accelerated. It's not up for debate. It's an objective fact, but boomers can't look things up on their own.
Shootings? Not only shootings and murder of Christians by "settlers," but the burning and destruction of ancient Christian sites afterwards. The polichud forum can't stop talking about Muslim murder of Christians, but in the same breath will worship the state of Israel for doing the same because they're not "real" Christians.
This place is the reddit version of leftist loon prog shitstain ideologues, but for Israel/Trump cultists. They are the gods of far too many people on this board, especially Christians, which is pathetic and sad.
Christendom is Israel. Not Netanyahu and Mossad, nor the state of Israel.
No matter how much Ted Cruz, et al. command you all to worship Israel, it doesn't make it Biblically true just because his pockets are overflowing with their money.
Christ is God. America First.

Yes, the priest in BR sort of lost his mind with covid. We spend most weekends on the Coast so I'm most often in Biloxi now.
Believe it or not, the Air Force used to own the church building in Biloxi and no longer needed it so it was moved to it's current site either late 60s or early 70s.
Welcome aboard. How long have you been one of us?
