I had given up on the GOP after I saw Mitt Romney's campaign after winning the nomination.
When Trump won the nomination, my hope was he could create so much damage within the republican electorate to create the necessity to destroy the party, which I truly believe is a fraud meant to distract.
Despite some fairly dramatic lengths to remove Trump from the equation, I think things are still on the right track.

4. On His Desire to Move On From Trump
Mr. Carlson texts with members of his staff, two months after the 2020 election and two days before the insurrection at the Capitol building, about looking forward to not having to cover Mr. Trump.
Carlson:
We are very, very close to being able to ignore Trump most nights. I truly can’t wait.
Carlson:
I hate him passionately.

5. On the Aftermath of the Capitol Riots
After the riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6, Mr. Carlson texts with Mr. Pfeiffer about Mr. Trump’s culpability in the insurrection and how to deal with viewers who still support him. It was two weeks before the inauguration of President Biden.
Carlson:
Trump has two weeks left. Once he’s out, he becomes incalculably less powerful, even in the minds of his supporters.
Carlson:
He’s a demonic force, a destroyer. But he’s not going to destroy us. I’ve been thinking about this every day for four years.
Pfeiffer:
You’re right. I don’t want to let him destroy me either. [REDACTED]. The Trump anger spiral is vicious.
Carlson:
That’s for sure. Deadly. It almost consumed me in November when Sidney Powell attacked us. It was very difficult to regain emotional control, but I knew I had to. We’ve got two weeks left. We can do this.

The party is in a fight. The elites want you to sit down and shut up. They know better than you.

Tucker is better than Donald. Not as much of a narcissist who destroys his own allies. Tucker as POTUS would be a step up from DJT.

There is a reason the Whig party no longer exists.

I gave up on it years ago.
Haven't given a dime to the RNC in years.

That may very well turn out to be correct as some will stay and others will go. But it guarantees absolute dem control even in states where it would be impossible right now. Ultimately the dems win in this scenario.

Tucker is correct. I think the ones Tucker speaks about that are anti MAGA and are true neocons for life and the McConnell leaders in DC are already democrats.
So the neocons MAGA haters can GFT allowing democrats to rule. They all already (like the Bush's & Liz Cheney) vote democrat anyway.

They have won.
Alabama is a "red state". It really hasn't changed since the democrats ran it and many of the leading republicans are just democrats who switched parties. Alabama republican's loyalty is to pork. The second the GOP actually started being fiscally conservative, democrats would own the state once more.
It's all theater.

Wow. I've never known anyone who has different private thoughts from their public opinions.
Have you reported that to the law enforcement? You should. This is fricked up. Someone actually talked bad about someone behind their back. This is something that has never happened. Tucker needs to give an explanation.

I have quit giving money to them too. Now I donate directly to the candidates that I support.

Personally, I had been a Republican since I registered to vote many moons ago. After McCarthy, McConnell, and McDaniel were re-elected to GOP leadership roles again, I immediately gave up my GOP registration and am now a member of No Party.
Please, do not get me wrong. Just because I am a No Party member does not mean I do not appreciate a party every now and then.
Party On!

Not helpful that Trump cozies up to Lindsey and McCarthy.

You can wipe your arse with that NY Times link. That is all it is good for.

Good. The GOPe needs to be abandoned.
It took a long time to get there, but the GOPe today is just the controlled opposition wing of the DNC.
THERE IS NO TWO-PARTY SYSTEM.
The Establishment Uniparty controls everything. We're just under the illusion that we still have a choice. Your actual choice is to vote for the DNC candidate who tell you exactly what they're going to do and then they do it, or to vote for the GOPe candidate who tells you what you want to hear and then votes in near lock-step with the DNC.
When I keep seeing people even on this board who say, "yeah the Democrats this and the Democrats that", etc., it's infuriating because they're as brainwashed as liberals if they actually believe that anyone on "their side" is any better. Of course there are a very few outliers like Rand Paul, but that's neither here nor there, and certainly the exception and not the rule.
