I don’t think Ozempic is any worse for the heart muscle than discipline forced dieting.

They've begun removing those excess pounds with Ozempic.

it seems to me that it's much kinder to your body (and much less painful / nauseating) to lose excess pounds through taking in less calories than one needs rather than using a pharmaceutical with ghastly side effects and unknown long term side effects.

Or instead of relying on a shot with unknown long term side effects,

It seems you believe the drug is new. It’s been used for 20 years. It’s not new. Side effects are very known and very little/mild typically.

It baffles me that so many people attack semaglutide users that use it for obesity but nobody attacks diabetics for using semaglutide for diabetes.

Would it help to think about it like it’s diabetes prevention treatment???

There’s so much anger and BS reports about semaglutide. This one claiming negative heart affect is the opposite of the data. The drug actually is proven to improve heart health and decrease likelihood of cardiac event by significant delta.

But hey, why let facts get in the way of a good story, amirite?

Wasn’t there a study that found it can negatively affect brain tissue as well? Something about the brain being fatty tissue

I'm not sure about that but I believe there was some information about maybe lessening or delaying the onset of Alzheimer's.

This is a fairly accurate assessment. The scientific community is well aware of this issue. GLP1/GIP drugs cause you to lose your appetite and become nauseated as a result of delayed gastric emptying. Individuals with a shite diet that do not shift the ratio of lean protein to carbs will suffer most, but high protein also delays gastric emptying which further reduces caloric intake. The use of these drugs with resistance/weight training have fared the best. The loss of lean muscle mass without weight training has been comparable to muscle wasting in cancer patients.

What drug are you talking about? Because that's not Ozempic

Ozempic causes you to lose your appetite.

Actually it slows down gastric emptying. Meaning the food you eat sits in your gut much longer.

And, it was already shown to cause optic nerve damage resulting in blindness.

Sorry, just because you can't see that you're fat, doesn't mean you aren't.

Though not a formal study, Peter Attia notes that every single one of his patients on a semaglutide underwent the same thing during use.

quote:

Increased resting heart rate and other concerning trends in patients using GLP-1 agonists

He also states that resting heart rate returned to normal after it was discontinued. Of course, this hasn’t been studied and long term side effects not evaluated.

Hidden data on obesity prospect wipe $12B off Amgen market cap

By Nick Paul Taylor Nov 13, 2024 6:35am

quote:

A hidden tab in an Excel spreadsheet published nine months ago has wiped $12 billion off Amgen’s market cap. The tab contains data on bone density changes in patients who received Amgen’s obesity prospect MariTide in a phase 1 trial. Amgen published data from the study in the journal Nature Metabolism in February. The paper makes no mention of bone density. Amgen also shared the source data in Excel spreadsheets. At first glance, none of the spreadsheets contain bone density data either. However, one of the files contains hidden tabs that can be revealed by right-clicking on one of the visible tabs.

To get an example of how deep everything we Google or Net search is paid and bought by the industries that rule us.

Google Ozempic and this story will not be found but you will see tons of different sites to get the product.
