I'm not reading some hack article you clearly copied and pasted (without attribution, nice plagiarism, son). I succinctly and robustly explained why you were wrong, maybe read that and try again with your own work this time?

Who pays for U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods? According to some in the popular press, the answer is that the tariffs on China are paid entirely by U.S. importers, and eventually by U.S. consumers

Which is correct. You put a wall of text up to make excuses for it.

The working class is paying for Trumps tariffs to prop up Woke American corporations.

Congrats on buildng a new swamp.

It really is AMAZING!

I'm sure that article posts some supportive numbers and shows that the tariffs did in fact work.

The leftists put out an article and support how the tariffs didn't work.

Now the two groups are on opposite sides again over the exact same thing.

Wondrous how politics works. We are definitely tribal to the bone.

Yes these "subsidies" cost way more to the American taxpayer than any "revenue" received by trump's tariffs. We lost money, helped China, and hurt our own farmers. classic trump!

Indeed. But many Virtue Signaling opportunities were created.

Patriots gladly pay more for woke corporate shite.

There it is. The end result of your statement is, we must never change trade practices because this is the only way it can be done.

Longterm results of tarriffs are not always static or as predictable as you all make it seem so. People like you always fear monger when the U.S. changes economic policies because people who think like you believe everything is exactly as it should be. In other words, if we just keep doing what we always do, the results will change for the better. I don't think I need to tell you what that is the definition for.

In this regard, it is important to recognize that the tariffs under consideration are specific to goods imported from China and not a general tariff on all goods of a specific type. Because goods from other countries are not subject to these tariffs, U.S. purchasers can avoid the tariffs by purchasing similar goods from other countries, or from U.S. producers. This substitution of goods from other countries increases the responsiveness of U.S. purchasers to price changes and will put downward pressure on the prices of Chinese imports, thereby shifting the burden of the tariffs toward Chinese producers and away from U.S. purchasers.

"Downward pressure on the prices of Chinese imports" - could tariffs also more easily allow for domestic/non-Chinese producers to raise prices?

The idea that having fedgov step between producers and consumers and take a XX% bite benefits consumers is bizarre.

Wrong. China's "one child" policy screwed China.

Go have a look at appliance prices over the short term they were under tariff.

Also, if tariffs reduce prices, why did Trump delay the large Chinese import tariff so "Americans can have a nice Christmas"?
