Under Biden we were creating jobs
Typical Dems still running with the job creation agenda by using jobs people lost during COVID that were then re-staffed.
They somehow consider this job creation by telling themselves they didn’t exist prior to the pandemic.

People spending money on credit that they don’t have. Sounds like our government

You cannot be that dumb! How else do you measure a consumer economy?
Posted on 12/9/25 at 8:52 am to FLTech
How much of that was on a credit card or “buy now pay later”??

I honestly hope your life is as miserable I it seems to be from your messages. I hope the next 3 years puts you through relentless pain. Then when Vance gets in he turns up the knob on your pain. Miserable POS.
I hope Vance gets in. I voted for Trump.
Spending isn’t the only metric. How much debt is that spending creating? Clowns.

The housing market was in tip top shape leading up to 2008. Record sales and record home values!

which implies credit should be given to Trump for these sales.
No, it doesn't. It was offered as evidence that the economy is doing better than political opponents (which includes the MSM) say it is. Those are two different things. I guess you could then, as a secondary conclusion, say that the economy is good BECAUSE of Trump, but that's another conclusion down the line from the thread title.
quote:
Do you remember the OBB?
Yeah. That would be exactly what I referred to above that I didn't like from Trump. So what?
quote:
But every day, regular Americans should be held to a higher standard than the President?
Good grief, look...I've had some pleasant exchanges with you lately and I'm genuinely not trying to break that streak, but you've got to admit that that's silly. Donald Trump (and Joe Biden, and Barack Obama, and on and on and on and on) signed bills that overspent on public programs, so that means John and Jane Q. Public are justified in doing so with their personal finances? That it's the fault of the POTUS when people overspend, because he didn't set a good enough example with public spending?
Really?
Do I even need to continue to explain why that's silly, or is just typing it out like that enough?
I'll just put it like this and leave it: Trump's a felon, right? Does that mean that ordinary, everyday Americans can't be expected to follow the law or be held accountable for breaking the law because Trump did?
quote:
Right. Only Democrats can be critical of the president. Makes total sense.
Here we go. Here's the part of the program where you start making stuff up that someone else never said. You are the absolute, uncontested, heavyweight (no reflexion on what your actual physical weight might be, just looking for the most prestigious division here) strawman champion of the world, I'll give you that.
Do I need to explain this one?
Of course anyone can criticize the president. I started off my own post criticizing him, which is why I have downvotes on it.
But when you criticize the president for something he quite literally has nothing to do with and routinely reach like Stretch Armstrong warmed up in the summer sun to find something to criticize him for, that's when the criticism reflects TDS. And not only did you do that in your first post, you doubled down on it with this one. And it's a pattern, it's not just this post.
I'm as critical of Trump as just about anybody around here. There's plenty to be critical of, and there's plenty to be supportive of. He's always been a mixed bag. But when the criticisms wander into the territory of being absurd, blaming Trump for ridiculous things, you know you're talking to someone divorced from reality when it comes to the guy.
Again, not trying to start a fight and this is not meant to be an insult, but you come across as someone who either doesn't vote at all or who votes but is registered as an independent or something like that, and for whom the "I'm not a Democrat" claim is a tactic.
I've posted this before, but I have a friend like that. He's never, ever, not even once in his whole life voted for a Democrat for anything. 100% Republican. But he will fist fight you if you call him a Republican.
Why? Because it's a tactic. By claiming "independent" status, he's also claiming "objective" status. And by claiming "objective" status, he's claiming that he's not biased at all. He just calls balls and strikes like he sees them.
So if every. single. pitch. that any Democrat has ever thrown in the history of the world is a ball, that's not his fault. It's just the way it is.
It's a tacit way of claiming more credibility for his opinions.

You should be ashamed of yourself.
The talking point of government jobs has been debunked several times.
They've remained relatively flat for decades. You people are like robots. Maybe there are more bots on here then I thought.

Surely you don’t think cancelling the jobs, gdp, and inflation reports are a good sign, do you?
The economy is in bad shape right now. The more MAGA gaslights its base about it, the worse midterms will be.
See blind statements like this are why libs are retarded. GDP is up, unlike under Biden where he had 2 negative quarters in a row and put us in a recession.
Inflation (below 3%) is lower than wage growth (above 3%). That's a GOOD thing.

Spending isn’t necessarily the sign of a good economy.
The economy is certainly doing better than a year ago, but this is true nonetheless.
Spending at this level can easily be construed as a sign of irresponsibility. I've spent more than usual myself but I also got two big raises and a massive tax break this year. As a percentage, I've spent less than I did last Christmas Season.

Hasn’t there been over 300k government employees that have left the workforce?

Have the liberals and Trump hating republicans told us that it is only a record high because of the affordability crisis yet?

That's fricking funny coming from a guy who's personality won't let him say anything good about Trump.

Interesting, I have praised his border tactics often. You only react to things that get you excited.

This spooks me more than any other issue. Crunch depth is a debt to GDP ratio of 140%, We are at 137%
