If they hadn't been so dead set on going after him for the stupidest reasons and constantly keeping him in the news cycle he might have never pulled this off.

The media did a great job of keeping Trump relevant since leaving office.
If we add up the number of times the media said Trump versus the number of times they said Biden or Harris... Trump hands down wins in a total landslide.

His approval ratings were so low that if they had just left him alone, they are probably ok . But they couldn't help themselves and didn't just go after him but went for overkill. Working with Willis to indict him, all the other cases, keeping him off the ballot. All that did was rile up the GOP base.

The Mar a Lago raid basically guaranteed his reelection. That was when I decided that I was not, under basically any circumstances, going to vote for anyone else.

They wanted to make an example out of him, so that no other upstart would challenge the status quo. The MSM was fully invested in the idea that they were the kingmakers, the influenced the candidates and ultimately who won and Trump ruined that in 2016.

100% correct. They gave him free press and kept him in the news 24-7. The power of their press was not as great as they thought. Many average people not much interested in politics began to see a pattern of attack that led them to question not DJT but the msm.
