Trump doesn’t seem to understand that the Iranian government will not back down and will trade civilian lives for survival. He’s been unable to separate the idea of the citizenry from the Mullahs or IRGC.

This messaging comes off as a guy who feels cornered and is threatening to blow up everything as a last resort.
My hope is after this, he will say thanks to my aggressive messaging we have secured a great peace deal. "They knew we weren't messing around and they came to the table"

I am fully expecting a ceasefire agreement to be reached sometime today OR an extension of the deadline because "talks are ongoing".

I'm not too keen on hurting and or causing the death of innocent civilians. If we could have taken Maduro out sooner and established a higher and more efficient output of oil from Venezuela and just choked off any trade that Iran did with their oil it would have been a better outcome then destroying the means of power generation in Iran and have innocent people die from it.

I think he's focusing on Kharg at the moment.
I would bet the citizens already knew they were in for a rough ride on the way to freedom- that's kind of how these things go.
Furthermore, think of how different the posture could be if our European "allies" got on the same page and presented as united rather than fractured.
